I have been a loyal fan of L’Oreal Skin and Hair Care, but never tried their make-up products until my friend gifted this lip color to me. I have a certain comfort zone on certain things and I find it difficult at times to explore new things because of that. Trying this lipstick was just that kind of a situation. Let’s not delay any more and begin the review.

How to Use: Use the wand to apply, starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to outer edges of your lips, following the contour of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

Packaging: The lip color/ glosses come in luxurious gold cases, that look very stylish with a little transparent rectangle, where one can see the shade from outside. The doe-foot applicator is thicker than the glosses I have used till date and are a bit tricky to use. There is no sharp smell like many other glosses have, but it does have faint smell, which cannot be related to anything I have used earlier

Texture: The gloss is super creamy and smooth and very hydrating as well.

My Experience With L’Oreal Paris Extraordinaire By Colour Riche Liquid Lipcolor- Ruby Opera:

I first saw these beautiful lip colors getting reviewed by our very own gorgeous Neetu, she did full justice to the shades and I enjoyed reading her reviews. I wondered if I would be able to do justice to this shade, because it’s such a gorgeous and festive red, I tried my best, 🙂 rest you decide.
This particular shade was gifted to me by a very dear friend on Thanksgiving and I am glad that I got to use such a beautiful gloss. The shade Ruby Opera is a dark cherry red with fine shimmer flecks that are only visible if you try to look very hard into someone’s lips. He he 😉 The gloss is not very pigmented, but it is good for a gloss.

This gloss is one of the softest and glossiest lip color I have used in a very long time. They give so much shine and fullness to the lips, that it makes you look much younger than you actually are. 😀

The price is so affordable that there are no reasons to complain, except that it transfers a lot and stays on the lips for only about 2 -3 hours, without eating anything. Thu,s having food would reduce the staying power of the gloss and re-application is another issue, because it leaves behind a stain.

Another problem is that it bleeds within minutes of application at the corner of my lips even if I just talk! Now, how can I stop talking? 😀 However, a little concealer or a lip pencil should solve this. Next comes the wand, which is too thick to get perfect lines. You will have to use a brush, I did so.

Apart from these minor flaws, this is a near perfect gloss for everyone and that too at a very attractive price, with almost 16 shades to choose from.

• Bleeds.
• Moderate longevity.
• Applicator is a bit clumsy.
