My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Infallible Lip Paint Lacquer 103 Fuchsia Wars:
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Lip Paint Lacquer has a total of 4 shades in the gloss range. There are shades of pinks, reds and nudes in this collection. This got launched by L’Oreal Paris as a liquid lipstick range that gives high-shine on the lips.
Packaging: The infallible lip paint comes packed in a colour-coded tube like packaging. Thus, it becomes easier to spot the shade just by looking at the colour of the tube. There is a doe-foot shaped applicator that comes attached with the black cap of this tube. This applicator has a slanting tip which helps to line and colour the lips perfectly without any unevenness. The applicator picks decent amount of product in a single dip and I found it quite useful while applying this lipstick.
The tube looks quite glossy which adds to the packaging value of this lip paint. The shade name and ingredient details are mentioned on the back of the tube neatly. Overall, the packaging is very sleek and lightweight and can be carried around easily. I am impressed with the cute packaging of this range.
Shade: The shade “103 Fuchsia Wars” is a beautiful, bright fuchsia pink shade. The colour looks very bright and fluorescent, but it is not too neon. It looks great on my lips and instantly brings a change to the makeup look. It neither has cool nor warm undertones in it, so I feel that this will suit skin complexions with every undertone. But, I feel such bright colours compliment fair to medium skin tones with more grace. You can wear this shade with ease during daytime and also during night time for evening party looks. It is such a fun shade and I absolutely love this colour. If you are going to use this lippie for an evening look, then go for a soft-smudged Kohl liner look along with this.
Pigmentation: This lip paint is intensely pigmented and offers a complete opaque coverage in 1-2 swipes. On my lips, I apply two coats to even out the edges and obtain the maximum colour payoff. It will not hide lip pigmentation completely since the finish is glossy in nature. I just love the superb pigmentation of these lippies. They make my lips look fuller and broader.
This lip paint smells of classic fruity flavour. However, the scent is not too strong nor too mild. After applying this lipstick, it stays for sometime after which it gradually fades away.
Texture and Finish: Coming to the texture of this lip paint, I feel it is quite smooth and creamy which can be applied on the lips without any pulling and dragging. The finish of this lip paint is glossy as per the product description. For someone who wants glossy lipstick in liquid formulation, this range is perfect for you. I would rather use it as a lip gloss than as a lipstick.
The best part of this lipstick is that it works perfectly even on dry lips and you don’t have to use a lip balm underneath. It delivers a moisturising feel to the lips and makes them look hydrated and healthy. It does not highlight the fine lines of the lips unlike other liquid lipsticks.
However, since the finish is glossy and the lip paint does not dry down, it somewhat feels tacky if applied in excess. I could feel the presence of something on my lips when I press them together. It really feels uncomfortable if you are a die-hard matte lipstick lover like me.
This lipstick is not waterproof and smudgeproof. It does have the tendency to get transferred on coming in contact with objects. This definitely is a drawback of this range. Overall, I feel the consistency is quite heavy with a creamier consistency and you may not be able to pull it off during hot weathers. It should have been called as a super-pigmented lip gloss rather than a liquid lipstick.
Staying Power: The longevity of this lip paint is about 5-6 hours on my lips. It can survive normal meals with minor changes in the colour intensity. With oily meals, it gets faded off completely and has to be reapplied again. But this is not troublesome since it is easy to work with this formulation. The wear time of these lipsticks can be increased if you do not smack your lips much and avoid food and drinks in between.
Removal of this lipstick is also very easy. It gets removed easily using the Garnier Micellar water or any other makeup remover.
Overall: Now it’s time for my final verdict. This lip paint is an amalgamation of properties of different types of formulations. It offers good pigmentation of a lipstick, gives glossy polish like a lip gloss, creamy and smooth texture of a liquid lip colour and average staying power of a normal lipstick. So many features comes packed in a single package. If you want to try something new and interesting, you can give this range a try.
