How was your weekend? We went to a snowy region this weekend and it was real fun walking and playing in snow. I made sure to keep myself warm with thermals, tall boots and jackets while a hint of blush, lip paint & lots of kajal made me look glowing and fresh, even in freezing temperature. I packed these pro-matte glosses for my trip considering they are long wearing and have a creamy matte formula to add a pop of color. That was a perfect decision as these glosses made my skin glow.
However “Nude Allude” is one such shade which was excluded from my holiday stash as I prefer pinks, plums, red and orange shades to such neutral colors. But I am really happy with this soft brown gloss and wear it more often for regular shopping and other day outings. So let’s read more about L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss Nude Allude today!

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss Nude Allude:
The gloss comes in a usual curvy and transparent plastic tube packaging with a leaf shaped doe foot applicator attached to the twist cap. It does have a funky smell which might bother sensitive noses, though it doesn’t last long. Over all, it is quite user friendly, hygienic and travel friendly.
Coming over to the shade “Nude Allude”, it looks like an intense brown shade in the tube, but it comes up as a soft brown on my skin. Hence, if you are seeking an intense chocolate brown pigmentation, then it may disappoint you; no matter how many layers you apply, it will always come up as a slightly soft brown on lips. I feel it looks like a soft marsala shade on my skin tone. Next, I feel that the texture of this shade is more glossy and creamy than a true matte formula. It transfers into a matte stain after couple of hours, still I would not call it a pure matte product.
Now for me, it is perfectly fine as I am always good with semi-matte, creamy matte shades, but people looking particularly for matte product might feel dejected with the finish. However, I have noticed that if I keep on pursing my lips at short intervals, the finish becomes slight powdery matte. Needless to say, it has a self adjusting formula which never looks patchy or streaky on my lips, unlike matte stains. Other than that, no complaints with its super whipped, creamy formula which easily slips on my normal-dry lips creating an opaque and seamless layer on lips.
It neither sets in lip lines nor clings to mild dry patches; in fact I see that it conceals them nicely as long as it stays on my lips. It is a super pigmented gloss that covers almost 70-80% lip pigmentation in just one swipe, depending upon the degree of pigmentation. Like, my lips have mild black spots and I just need one swipes for that flawless, seamless finish. It stays put for decent 5-6 hours while layering it twice increases the longevity to 6+ hours.
Like any mousse formula gloss, it also never sets into a dry, non-transferable finish. Hence, it might leave marks on almost everything even your chin while you enjoy your meals. And it should be taken care of as it will require makeup remover to come off, even if it’s a mild stain. Even I am quite impressed with its non-sticky, non-drying and decently hydrating formula as I never feel the need of using a lip balm with this gloss, though I keep my lips well scrubbed and hydrated prior using this shade.
It is impressive to note that it doesn’t accentuate or aggravate dryness on our lips. It does not look patchy or streaky even after hours, so it is good either way; though I feel re-application works better over touch ups with such products. If you are a fan of such soft browns, that too in a creamy and glossy finish, then you should definitely check it out. Personally I feel I love its finish and this shade, hence I might get it again.
Let’s sum up pros and cons:
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss Nude Allude:
• A gorgeous, soft brown lip gloss with a non-sticky, non-patchy finish
• Intensely pigmented gloss which gives nearly opaque finish
• Suitable for beauties with pigmented lips
• Its self adjusting texture assures even, seamless finish
• Comes up as a creamy, glossy shade, transferring into a matte stain after that
• Does not settle into the lip lines nor clings to dry patches
• Smartly conceals mild dry patches
• Doesn’t accentuate or aggravate lip issues
• Leaf shaped applicator ensures better grip and precision
• Quite user friendly, hygienic and travel friendly
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss Nude Allude:
• The creamy, glossy finish will disappoint matte lovers
• Transfers to chin and to cutlery
Well, the transferring of gloss does make me cautious right after a group dinner or while hanging out, but I am pretty happy with its overall finish.
