I am sure every girl has either Lakme Iconic Kajal or the Maybelline Colossal Kajal because they are super cute, priced reasonably, and great kajals too. I am here with the latest launch from L’Oreal and this will give you more options when you want to buy kajal liners. Read the detailed review below:

My Take on L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique:
Yipeee, finally we have a new option to select from and I was super excited to try this one. I use Maybelline gel liner every day, but at times, when I go out in the evening, I need super quick thing for application. I decided to try this one. L’Oreal had a threat from its competitors in this field, but I am glad they made their way. The kajal comes in a glamorous hot pink and black coloured packaging which looks amazing and I wanted to keep it like that only in the cupboard, but ultimately had to open it.
It looks like other retractable kajals. The quantity given at this price is great and it is so sleek that it fits into the pockets as well. It is completely fragrance free and has a decent pigmentation, not the darkest black and not very soft either. It is a good black and I did not get that perfect black shade in the first swipe itself, I had to swipe it for 2-3 times to get a gorgeous look. It is moderately creamy, but you do not need to rub because it glides smoothly under and above the eyes. However, that precision lining is not there because you cannot really sharpen this; it is a bit thick but still you can apply it perfectly.
Due to it being a retractable one, it does not cause any product wastage and the twisty thing is very convenient to use as well. I applied it under the eye area and went out; half of the time I was in an air-conditioned environment and half of the time in the natural heat, but it did survive on my eyes for 6 hours and when I came home, it was still there. There was very little smudging at the corners, but that was completely fine and not visible too. It will last for about 7 hours over the eyelids. Overall, I am in love with this kajal currently and consider it better than the rest and you can surely try this one because it’s worth it!
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique:
- Very affordable product and the quality is amazing.
- Available on online stores as well as beauty counters.
- Retractable, so no product wastage due to sharpening.
- Travel friendly.
- Good competition to Colossal Kajal and Lakme Iconic.
- Smooth formula, so no need to tug or pull on the eyes, but at least 2-3 swipes are required for the colour to fully show up.
- Nice and decent pigmentation.
- Survives for 5-6 hours under my eyes in natural as well as air-conditioned environment, does not smudge, lasts a bit longer on the eyelids.
- Does not give raccoon eyes.
- Waterproof.
- Does not irritate the eyes and is safe for contact lens wearers.
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique:
- Lasts only for 1-2 hours on waterline, but I think all kajals have similar staying time on the waterline.
- Colour does not completely show up in a single swipe.
- The 12-hour claim is not true because it starts to smudge a bit after 6 hours.
Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique?
Yes, I have tried all three now – Colossal, Iconic and this one, and I personally think this one is better than those, and I am going to break my loyalty towards Colossal. I would surely recommend to try this out and decide which one works for you better.

i bought this last week..n i agree wid ur review..it is not the blackest black ( i think collosal is blackest) but the texture n packaging is good. also, i liked how it did nt leave a blackish caste on my eyes after removal.

Jomol try this one, its good, best part is satying power is commendable and doesnt smudge even at the end of the day. *announce* Better than both iconic and colossal. About being NOT THAT BLACK…Saloni is right, I agree, but personally I feel it makes it very appropriate for office or regular usage.

I too bought it yesterday itself, and applied today. I found its not that smooth on the very first stroke. I managed to get the bold black look in 4 to 5 strokes.
