Hello all,
I had picked up a few shades from the recently launched L’Oreal Color Riche La Lacque lip pens and today I am reviewing the shade “Lacque and Roll” for you. Read on to find out more.
Price:
$9.99; Prices vary from store to store.
Product Description:
Introducing Colour Riche Le Matte and La Lacque, the newest format in lipcolor. The sleek, sophisticated pen offers highly pigmented color that glides on effortlessly in one precise stroke. Available in 2 iconic finishes, creamy Matte and smooth Lacquer. Use it anywhere, anytime – it’s the newest makeup designer must have.
My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Lacque and Roll Color Riche La Lacque Lip Pen:
Packaging: The lip pen comes in a colorful plastic pen packaging. The packaging is bright and coincides with the color of the lip pen. It is retractable and you don’t need to bother about a sharpener. However, it does not retract all the way down and a little portion of the tip remains exposed and for clumsy handlers like me, there is every chance of nicking the tip while trying to put the cap on. The tip itself is oval shaped and that makes the application precise.
Shade/Pigmentation: “Lacque and Roll” is a beautiful deep raspberry pink. This is a gorgeous shade of pink which will look good on all skin tones. It is slightly on the brighter side, but nothing that you cannot carry during the day. It brightens up the face immediately and will look especially good when paired with Indian traditional outfits.
The lip pen is decently pigmented and covers the lips in a single swipe. Swiping it multiple times does not make the look cake-y.
Texture/Finish/Lasting Power: The formula is creamy but still the lip pen tugs slightly on the lips, but it is not something too bad. The finish is glossy and imparts a nice shine to the lips. The finish of the lipstick is a bit weird. It feels little sticky and clings to the lips. But, it is not too uncomfortable. It does not dry out the lips.
The lipstick has a strong rose smell and those of you who do not like fragrance in their cosmetics will not like it.
The staying power of the lipstick is quite good at around 5-6 hours. It survives light meals and snacking. It leaves behind a nice stain on the lips.
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Lacque and Roll Color Riche La Lacque Lip Pen:
- Beautiful raspberry pink shade.
- Gorgeous glossy finish.
- Oval-shaped tip makes application easy.
- Strong pigmentation.

- Does not dry out lips.
- Attractive and travel-friendly packaging.
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Lacque and Roll Color Riche La Lacque Lip Pen:
- Tugs slightly on the lips.
- Feels a bit sticky on the lips.
- Strong fragrance might be a put off for some.
IMBB Rating:
4/5
