Lo’real is my favourite makeup brand and why shouldn’t it be? The company lays a lot of importance to quality and precision of its makeup products.
I am now going to review Lo’real Lash Architect Mascara that my hubby got for me from Singapore 😉 The mascara is nice and I like it and I would recommend it to all mascara lovers.
Three years ago, when I was in Netherlands (I went there for my MBA, so ladies out here who are contemplating doing MBA in Europe can consult me for free 😉 😉 ), I used a mascara that had a comb-like brush. That brush was not like a roller as we get in most of the mascaras, instead it was toothbrush like or more accurately like a comb.
It was super convenient applying mascara with that brush. Since then, I have been looking for a mascara which has that kind of a brush, but have not found it yet. If you know of a mascara like this, please suggest it to me.
Coming back to L’oreal mascara, this is kind of carbon black in color and it is indeed volumizing in nature. If you look carefully at the picture below, you will notice that “false lash effect” is written on the product.
The product actually gives a false lash effect. I do not have heavy lashes, in fact, I have light, small eyelashes and this mascara actually gives me the effect of heavy eyelashes, which I adore.

My review is about the Black color.
My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Lash Architect – False Lash Effect Mascara:
Like I said before, I like this mascara. It stands upto its claims and really gives a false lash effect. It curls my lashes and makes them look longer and heavier. The mascara uses three-dimensional technology to add thickness, length and curl to your lashes. It is a great product to make lifeless and dull lashes look good and attractive. The bold color of the mascara is another plus. It is also waterproof so that is another advantage, but the mascara gets kind of sticky and one more disadvantage is its short brush.
I like mascara brushes that are slightly long in length so that with just one stroke, the entire eyelash gets covered. The brush of this product is okay in length, maybe many of you don’t find it short or you find it long enough, but I have used mascaras that have pretty long brushes, so this one seems just a little short.
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Lash Architect False Lash Effect Mascara:
- Color is pure black.
- Waterproof and stays for long, say around 3-4 hours easily.
- Really makes the eyelashes look curlier, longer, heavier and blacker in color.
- Quality is worth the price.
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Lash Architect False Lash Effect Mascara:
- Brush could be a bit longer.
- It gets a bit sticky. So, removing it can be a challenge at times. Since it is waterproof, you have to use a separate cotton pad with cleansing milk to remove it.
- Not available easily in the market
Do I Recommend L’Oreal Paris Lash Architect False Lash Effect Mascara?
A great mascara for false eyelashes. It does not overdo its job, so the mascara effect is just natural and suits even the dull, small eyelashes. It’s just that the stickiness can be a problem particularly for people who have light eyelashes.
