A few days ago, I picked up L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lip Palettes. I initially wanted to buy one but, it was so hard to decide. So, I picked up the two palettes that were available. I have already reviewed L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lip Palette in Red and today’s review is about L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lip Palette in Nude. So read on to know more.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Lip Palette by Color Riche – Nude:

Nude colors are a must for any makeup enthusiastic. We have so many nude products being reviewed on IMBB. I hardly use nude colors as I have dark lips but, this product was so tempting that I decided to shell out some money and buy them.

The packaging is what attracted me the most! It is sleek and has a bright shiny mirror like a golden case. The lip colors are stacked with the lighter shades on the top and darker shades at the bottom. The case is made of plastic. The product comes in a sealed cover and it also has a nude labelled sticker when you open. The cap shuts tightly with a click and as it is so thin, you can easily toss it in a bag or purse. The case also houses a mirror and this is so useful, especially when you need a touch-up. The palette also contains a brush. While the brush is good, I prefer using a lip brush over this one and the reason being that it is small and makes it difficult for the application.

The shades are extremely smooth and creamy. I have already caused dents in my Red palette and I am really being careful with this one. The palette has different shades of nude. Nudes are not suitable for every skin tone but, this palette has the colors that would suit most of us! There are both cool and warm tones in the palette.

Shade 1: This is a complete neutral shade. It doesn’t show a lot on my lips and it looks like a skin cast as I have pigmented lips. But, it can be combined with others to create looks.

Shade 2: This is a nude pink shade. It looks matte but actually, it is a little glossy.

Shade 3: This shade is a lovely everyday wearable color. It makes my lips look natural and pink. It can be built up to create a pink shade. It has tiny shimmer particles in it.

Shade 4: This is a glossy pink shade. It easily masks my pigmented lips.

Shade 5: This shade is not my favourite. It looks like a pastel pink in the palette but, it doesn’t show any color on my lips. It looks more like a gloss but, it does completely cover my pigmented lips.

Shade 6: This shade is a brown shade. It is similar to Lakme Apricot lipstick but, the shade can be built up to create a deeper brown. I love this color a lot in this palette.

The lipsticks are more satin-glossy in texture than the matte finish. The pigmentation is good and the shades carry a fruity-floral fragrance. The shades stay on the lips for around 4 hours and then they start to fade away. The lipsticks do not bleed or transfer. They feel a bit heavy on the lips but, they are easy to glide. The colors have to be applied on exfoliated and moisturised lips. Even though I haven’t had any issues with the colors settling between the dry patches, it looks gaudy if you don’t! The colors can be mixed to obtain another shade. I have been mixing the red and nude palettes to get a variety of shades.

Overall, it is a good product and even though it is not a must have, the colors are good and suitable for most Indian skin tones. It is easy to have different lipsticks in one palette rather than having them separately.

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Lip Palette by Color Riche – Nude:

• The first shade can only be used in combination with others.
• Can be a bit pricey for 6 grams product.
