L’oreal Paris Mineral Eyeliner Powder Swatches, L’oreal Skin Care Haul and Some Nail Art

After  one of my recent articles, Dia wanted to see swatches of L’oreal Paris Khol Mineral Eyeliner powder  No. 02 Stellar Grey / Gris Astral, so here are the swatches :

This product has been reviewed before here on IMBB, but here’s a mini-one-paragraph take on it from my side :
This product can be used as an eyeliner (by holding the brush straight), or as an eyeshadow (by holding the brush at an angle).  The brush itself is an angled brush.  The mineral khol powder is very, very fine indeed and there is a bit of fallout.  However, I think it’s a great product for grey smokey eyes.  I’m not sure if it can be used on the waterline due to the fallout, which might irritate the eyes.  But I love the colour.

Got myself recently some L’oreal skin care products; got 2 items from their new Hydra Fresh range, as I wanted to be a bit gentle on my skin for a change, rather than continuously using mattifying skin care stuff and also since now it’s winter time, and my skin is behaving itself a bit as far as oiliness goes, so decided to be nice to it!
The L’oreal Paris Hydrafresh Instant Freshness Foaming Gel (priced at Rs. 249/-) and the L’oreal Paris Hydrafresh Instant Freshness Toning Water (priced at Rs. 349/-).  I am just loving the freshness of these products and will be reviewing them soon.

And do have a look at the cute pink bag I got as a gift from L’oreal Paris :

Now for some fun nail art.  I visited the salon a few days ago and while I was waiting for my highlights to be done, decided to have some nail art done.  There are lots of parties and Christmas functions coming up this week, so thought it would be nice to have this done.  The black nail polish used was Orly Liquid Vinyl.  Small white flowers with a tiny yellow dot in the middle. ( For some strange reason best known to myself, I had previously cut my nails real short last week, but anyway!!)

cute nail art

‘Tis the season to be jolly’, so I wish all of you a great week ahead.
Also, just in case I don’t get a chance to do another post before Christmas (sooooooooo much to be done, and so little time!), I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas.  (Will show pics of our Christmas decorations at home when I finish putting them up).

    1. You’re welcome, Dia. Yes, the kohl shows on the waterline, but it’s not the same feeling as when you apply kajal, it feels a wee bit different because this is a powder.

  5. I am loving greys more than black these days. Greys never look OTT even during the day time. 🙂

Your hands look sooo cute, Sabrina. :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute:

    1. Hi Rati, thanks for posting this article. I’m too liking greys a lot these days. I tried black smokey eyes the other day, but I personally think it looked too harsh and would have looked better being grey smokey eyes. Gotta try grey smokey eyes very soon!!

  6. nice nail art 🙂
have u started using the hydrafesh products?hows the foaming gel??
i tried the mineral khol at one of the loreal counters…didnt like the effect so didnt buy it 🙁
hope it works well for u 🙂

        1. I just checked the Ingredients: It says ‘Alcohol Denat’, as one of the many ingredients. It means that it contains denaturated alcohol, which is considered to be safe for use in cosmetic and skin care products.

  7. hey sabrina.. wats the staying power of the kohl? and smudgeability???

that pink bag is sooo cutee… i wanna have it toooo it too tooo too cute :-* :-* :-*

and merry chritsmans sabrina!!!   😀

    :cute: :cute:

@ rati y do u have to fill in my name and email adress agn and agn for very comment since a past few days? :(( :(( :(( is it going to be like this only now or is it a technical glitch :(( :(( :((

    1. Hi Neha. As far as the staying power of the kohl, it stays on for quite a few hours, but I must mention that it’s not a long-staying product, it’s just a normal stay one. It smudges a bit on the lower lash line if applied as an eyeliner, but I try to avoid that by first applying a grey eyepencil and then the kohl powder eyeliner over it.

  8. The only reason I know about this eyeliner is because Sonam Kapoor used it in Aisha 🙂 It looks like a cool technology though, but I think I’d be a bit paranoid about trying it as eyeliner is something we apply so closely to our eye and powdered eyeliner may fall into the eye. I’m too in love with liner pencils, but if I do see this here, I might pick it up just for fun. Thanks for the review, Sabrina and have a wonderful Christmas/New Year.

  9. Lovely nail art Sabrina 🙂 and the pink pouch is wowwwie
1Req- can u plz review the toner? im planning to get a toner but my skin is sensitive so gets red quickly- so i want a 1st hand opinion.

    1. Thank you, Bee. Will do a review. The toner is very gentle and fresh and doesn’t cause any burning or any such thing, I’m liking it a lot, as my skin is very sensitive too.
