I am a big fan of neutrals and I am constantly looking out for that perfect palette. In my search, I came across this L’Oreal Paris Open Eyes Pro Eyeshadow range and the shade is Beige Harmony. Neha has already reviewed the grey one here. So, is this a perfect neutral palette? Let’s find out:

L’Oreal Paris Open Eyes Pro eyeshadow is available in 6 shades in India – Vivid Green, Smokey Brown, Purple Silver, Beige Harmony, Pink and Turquoise.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Open Eyes Pro Eyeshadow in Beige Harmony:

L’Oreal Open eyes Pro eyeshadow comes in a square, black, plastic case packaging which is quite nice and sturdy. The case has a complete set of instructions on how to apply the eyeshadows which is quite helpful for beginners. Beige Harmony 03 has a combination of perfect neutral shades like champagne, peach and brown.

Shade 1 is a gorgeous champagne color which goes all over the lid. The pigmentation is decent, not too strong and you would require two or more swipes to get that color. This is a perfect brow bone highlighter for me.

Shade 2 is a beautiful peach color with strong gold undertones. This again goes as an overall lid color. Pigmentation is good, but this one has quite a lot of fall out.

Shade 3 is a brown again with strong gold undertone.  This is the perfect crease color and works very well for my skin tone, not too dark or patchy. Again, decent pigmentation, but a lot of fall out.

Shade 4 is a gold which is meant for inner corner highlighting, this is the least favorite of the four.  The pigmentation is bad and the texture is very chunky, doesn’t blend easily.

Shade 1, 2 and 3 have smooth texture and blend easily. All the 4 shades have obvious glitter which makes them a bit difficult to use on an every day basis. You don’t want to go to the office with all that shimmer and glitter, but for parties and night time, I would say its a pretty decent quad and works very well. All the shades co-ordinate with each other very well.

Pros of L’Oreal Paris Open Eyes Pro Eyeshadow in Beige Harmony:

• Beautiful shades of champagne, peachy gold, brown with golden undertones and a proper gold.
• Pigmentation is good, except in the golden shade.
• All of them blend easily, again except for gold.
• Texture is smooth and goes effortlessly on the lids, again with the exception of gold.
• Staying power is decent and stays well on me for 4 to 5 hours.
• Did not cause any skin irritation.
• Easily available across all L’Oreal counters and online.

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Open Eyes Pro Eyeshadow in Beige Harmony:

• A bit expensive.
• Quite a bit of fallout which makes it messy.
• Gold shade doesn’t work for me, its hard to blend and texture is gritty and chunky.

Swatches:

This is how it looks on me, Shade 1 all over the lid up to the browbone, shade 2 peachy gold all over lid, shade 3 brown defined the crease, and gold as an inner corner highlight.
