Skin tone: Medium to dusky
Today, I am going to talk about the new clay based scrub that L’Oreal Paris has recently launched; it is their “Pure Clay Exfoliating Scrub”. This is a mild and beautiful product which is composed of 3 pure clays and Red Algae. So, let’s see how this became a special product for me.
Price: 757 INR for 150 ml
L’Oréal Paris Pure Clay Red Algae Exfoliating Scrub is a face scrub formulated with three pure clays and red algae to deeply cleanse and exfoliate. The formula works to absorb excess oil while reducing imperfections and tightening pores.
My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Exfoliating Scrub:
This scrub is packaged in a mint green squeezy tube, with a flip cap and a transparent window in the middle which shows the color and the quantity of the product. The packaging is simple and sleek and easy to use.
The scrub itself is brick red in color, just like the mask and there is also a mild soothing refreshing fragrance associated with the product which makes the scrubbing experience all the more pleasant. The scrub contains tiny particles that are quite minute and do not feel harsh or abrasive against the skin. Since this product is mild and gentle, it can be even used on sensitive skin and we can even use this every day.
This product is made up of three pure clays, Kaolin (absorbs impurities and excess sebum), Montmorillonite (helps to eliminate imperfections) and Ghassoul (clarifies complexions). In addition to these clays, the scrub also contains Red Algae which helps to brighten the complexion.
A tiny bit of the scrub is sufficient for a single use. I use it on my face and neck, massaging the scrub slowly in circular motions to gently exfoliate the skin. It produces abundant foam and gives a clean feeling. After the massage, I rinse it off and apply the moisturizer. My skin feels great, fresh and clean after this exfoliation. It also feels cleansed and purified.
This scrub works best for oily skin types as the ingredients used help in removing all the imperfections, excess oil without leaving the skin dry. But, one thing which I noticed was the pores; I did not see any significant difference in their size.
Overall, I think this is more like a cleanser and a scrub because it cleanses the skin while mildly exfoliating it as well. It gives immediate and visible results. It cleanses, brightens and exfoliates the skin. It did what it says on the tube and I can tell you now that this is one of my favorite scrubs which I have used in a long time.
