Skin Tone- Medium, NC42, warm undertones
Here is the final shade from the Infallible Lipliner range by L’Oreal and, no prizes for guessing, it is a red. The name of the shade is quite confusing. It says “Red/Wine” so you might get confused whether it is a red or a wine. Keep on reading to know more about the shade.
At last, the perfect addition to your long-lasting lipcolor collection, the Infallible Neverfail Lipliner. Define your favorite Infallible Never Fail Lipcolor, Lipstick or Lipgloss with a long wearing liner designed to perfectly complement each shade. No touch-ups. No feathering. No fading. Rich and creamy formula goes on smooth and even leaving your lips soft and comfortable for hours. A sharpener is built-in for your convenience.
My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Red/Wine 6HR Infallible Neverfail Lipliner:
The lip liner comes in a twist-up packaging; thankfully, it twists back. The body is color-coded and made of plastic with the shade name and other details mentioned on the body in silver fonts. It comes with an in-built tip sharpener, which comes in handy if you like sharp tip for doing a precise outline. Unlike most lip liners with twist-up mechanism, this one doesn’t break easily; definitely with extra pressure it will break but it is not that fragile.
The texture of the lip liner is quite creamy and it applies without any tugging or pulling. If you have dry chapped lips, exfoliation is definitely recommended. The pigmentation is good; one swipe gives the desired results. Due to the creaminess of the lip liner it gets used up super fast. Considering the price and the quantity, I would not really call it a wise purchase.
Red/Wine is a burnt muted red with pink undertones. It is a very wearable shade of red which does not look OTT. It can be worn on its own as the shade would suit lot of skin tones and age groups. Also, this shade would look great with ethnic wear when paired with a classic winged liner and natural flush of color on the cheeks. It is not unique but it is something that you can just wear and walk out of the door.
The staying power ranges from 3-4 hours depending on the food/fluid intake. It is definitely not going to stay for 6 hours. The area of concern is the dryness that follows if you wear it alone like a lip color. After an hour or so, the lips start to feel stretched and parched which is not at all comfortable; applying a lip balm is must. It does not feather or peel but it starts fading unevenly from the centre of the lips.
There are endless numbers of red out there and hence this is nothing unique. Nevertheless, if red is your color and you like trying out various reds, give this one a try.
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Red/Wine 6HR Infallible Neverfail Lipliner:
• Twist up packaging with in-built tip sharpener
• Smooth application (on exfoliated lips)

• No funny smell
• Tip does not break off like most twist-up liners
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Red/Wine 6HR Infallible Neverfail Lipliner:
• Expensive for the quantity
• Drying on lips
• Gets used up very fast
• Not forgiving on dry parched lips
• Staying power could have been better
