L’Oreal Paris Rouge Magique Intense Matte Lipstick Mont Blanc Review

Skin Tone: Medium Olive

Hello, beauties!

L’Oreal Paris recently launched the Rouge Magique Intense Matte Lipstick range and I picked up three shades. Today I am reviewing the shade Mont Blanc. So, let’s get started!

Price: INR 650
Product Description:
L’Oreal Paris launches a new generation of matte lipsticks with intense colour pigments and most comfortable wear. Enriched with nourishing oils, pure matte pigments, and hydrating honey, Rouge Magique dresses your lips with the most intense matte colors! It’s MAGIQUE, in a stroke.
• Hydrating honey for comfortable wear.
• Pure Matte pigments for intense color.
• Jojoba and canina oil for nourishment.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Rouge Magique Intense Matte Lipstick Mont Blanc:

Packaging:
L’Oreal Paris always packages its products beautifully. This lipstick come in a beautiful black and pink tube with metallic finish cap. This looks so pretty and attractive. I also find this packaging quite travel-friendly as the cap closes securely with a click.

Also, there is a color-coded sticker at the bottom of the lipstick. I really like this packaging. But the product related information is provided only on the plastic wrap, which gets destroyed once you open the packaging.

Shade:
Mont Blanc is a beautiful light neutral pinky nude shade with a mauve undertone. It looks more peachy when swatches on the hand, but appears as a nice pink shade on the lips. It’s a very pretty MLBB shade for fair to medium skin tones and will go with bold eye makeup perfectly. I love nude shades and this one is a new addition to my collection.

I am not sure but I feel it might wash out darker skin tones. It looks quite nice on my medium skin tone, though. Also, this is a nicely pigmented shade and requires one-two strokes to get that perfect colour pay off. It can even hide lip pigmentation well.

Texture and Quality:
This new range has a very smooth, soft and creamy texture, hence it glides easily on the lips without any tugging. It doesn’t feel patchy and sets to a non-drying, perfect matte texture, which looks stunning. The formula feels very similar to Maybelline creamy matte range, and I like that range, too.

This formula feels super light and comfortable on the lips. I really like such smooth matte finish. It contains honey, jojoba and canina oils and that’s why it provides a good amount of hydration to the lips. As a result, this lipstick keeps the lips moisturised for long.

It is good enough for dry lips as well and never highlights dry patches. Interestingly, this formula doesn’t smudge or transfer and is waterproof as well. It does transfer slightly initially, but once it settles down, it never creates any mess on the lips.

Staying Power:
The staying power is also quite impressive. It stays for around 6 hours on my lips nicely. It can also survive a normal meal. Actually, this particular shade has a little less staying power than the other two shades I own. But a reapplication can solve this problem. Also, it is very easy to remove and never settles into the fine lines.

Overall:
I am pretty obsessed with this range and this is my second favourite shade from this range. I love everything about this range and I feel it’s quite affordable, too.

  1. Beautiful swatches Chayanti. Your swatches are too gorgeous to handle. 😉

I am buying one of this range today itself. Seems too good to handle.

One suggestion for IMBB, Though it depends on whether the writer is comfortable to share the face picture, but it is more helpful for reader to see the swatch on FOTD as some light shades tend to wash out the face as whole, but looks beautiful in lip swatches. Just a thought!
