My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Rouge Magique Intense Matte Lipstick Tropical Sorbet:
Packaging: L’Oreal Paris always packages its products beautifully. This lipstick comes in a beautiful black and pink tube with metallic finish cap. It looks so pretty and attractive. I also find this packaging quite travel-friendly as the cap closes securely with a click. Also, there is a color-coded sticker at the bottom of the lipstick. I really like this packaging. But, the product-related information is provided only on the plastic wrap, which gets destroyed once you open the packaging.
Shade: I always love using orange lipsticks, and the shade, “Tropical Sorbet” is a beautiful bright neon orange shade, or you can call it a tangerine shade. It looks different under various light conditions, sometimes it looks more of a coral mixed orange. It is a super bright popping color and a perfect summer shade as well. It would flatter all skin tones, but this neon shade might slightly look overpowering on deeper complexions. Also, it is a well-pigmented shade, which requires two swipes to get that perfect color pay off, and it can hide lip pigmentation as well.
Texture and Quality: This range of lipsticks have a very smooth and soft creamy texture that glides effortlessly on the lips without any tugging or pulling. Only this particular shade looks slightly patchy if I layer it up. Otherwise, it provides a beautiful semi-matte finish which looks very nice on the lips. It also feels super lightweight and comfortable on the lips.
The lipstick contains honey, jojoba and canina oils and that’s why it provides a good amount of hydration to the lips. As a result, this lipstick keeps the lips moisturized for long. It is good to be used for dry lips as well as it never highlights dry patches. Not to mention, this formula doesn’t smudge or transfer and it is waterproof as well. Initially, it does transfer slightly, but once it settles down, it never creates any mess on the lips.
Staying Power: The staying power is also quite impressive. It stays for around 7 hours on my lips nicely. It can also survive meal. Though it looks slightly fade after heavy lunch, it doesn’t look messy. Also, it is very easy to remove and never settles into the fine lines.
Overall, I love this affordable range of lipsticks from L’Oreal. Since it is not an everyday/wearable orange shade, I can’t call it my favourite orange lipstick. Still, it’s a beautiful neon orange shade for an orange lipstick lover, like me.
