My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Rouge Magique Lipstick Miss Chocolate:

Let’s begin with the packaging of this lipstick. L’Oreal Paris always come up with really interesting and attractive packaging. The lipstick comes in a gorgeous black and metallic pink packaging. The lipstick tube is matte black in color and has a beautiful metallic pink cap. This cap shuts very securely making a click sound and ensures that the lipstick packaging is purse friendly. The metallic pink packaging looks quite girly and attractive. The range name is printed with bright pink fonts on the black portion of the lipstick tube.

There is a color-coded sticker at the base of the tube, which bears the shade name and number. Since the packaging is opaque, I store these lipsticks upside to down to easily spot the shade by checking the color-coded stickers. The lipstick has a normal twist-up mechanism which works pretty smoothly. It has a regular bullet shape which facilitates easy and smooth application. The lipstick bullet is quite firm and does not break or detach from the base. Overall, I love the packaging of these L’Oreal Rouge Magique lipsticks.

“Miss Chocolate” is a deep chocolate brown shade. The shade is bold and suitable for all skin tones. This shade is flattering for deeper complexions also. The color is bold and bright and such shades will not look attractive in summers but it is a perfect shade for the fall. It instantly brightens up my skin tone. Being a bold lip color, the shade cannot be worn on an everyday basis. The lipstick does not contain any sheen or shimmer.

It sets to a soft, velvety matte finish initially and later on looks perfect matte on the lips. The formula is amazingly pigmented. One swipe gives semi-opaque coverage and covers the pigmentation of the lips up to a great extent. I apply two coats to get the perfect and even color on the lips.

The texture of the lipstick is amazing. Most of the matte lipsticks are drying or they crack up after some time, but the formula of this lipstick is buttery smooth. It goes pretty smoothly on the lips without causing any drag. The texture is so soft and buttery smooth. Since, it is a matte lip color, it has a tendency to cling on to the dry patches of the lips, which is seen in almost every matte lip color. So, prior exfoliation and moisturization of the lips well is mandatory.

It is so lightweight and feels super comfortable on the lips. It does not have a thick and heavy texture. The lipstick is very moisturizing and nourishing. It is a non-drying matte lipstick. It keeps my lips hydrated all the time. It looks lovely on the lips and never gets patchy. The color stays at place and does not budge even after meals. It does not settle into the fine lines of the lips and looks smooth on the lips.

The lipstick lasts for approximately 6-7 hours on my lips with a little fading. It survives light meals but does not survive a heavy meals and it fades from the center of the lips. The lipstick leaves a light stain behind, which can be taken off easily with a good makeup remover.
