Today I am reviewing the L’oreal Paris heatspray which is a latest addition to my hairstyle regimen. In my previous post, I told you I have fine wavy hair, which I always blow dry or iron straight. And this is the new friend of my hair which lets me do all this blow drying and ironing so frequently. I got it in a local grocery store in USA. Hope you will like the review.

My experience with  L’oreal Paris Sleek It Iron Straight Heatspray

Let me describe the packaging first: Product comes in a black cylindrical sturdy plastic bottle with a nozzle spray. Nozzle cap comes with an unlock/lock button which makes it easy to store and travel with. Bottle is opaque, so we can’t really see how much product is left. Bottle is lightweight and slender. Overall I like packaging and there is nothing much wrong with it.

Product itself is white colored runny liquid which comes out in a mist when sprayed. It makes hair damp when sprayed on. I use this product whenever I use flat iron. I usually divide my hair into sections and spray it one section at a time. It makes my hair damp and super slippery. I feel like I have applied a lot of conditioner or oil on my hair and l will end up with greasy looking hair. But once I flat iron it, the slippery feeling changes into smooth silky finish and hair feels really sleek. Let me tell you that I use Remington Wet 2 dry flat iron which can be used on damp/wet hair too. So I don’t have any problem with it making hair damp. When flat ironing, a hissing sound comes out from my hair(sound of water evaporating). After results are awesome though. My hair has better, smooth, silkier look and it’s easier to straighten them. I really feel the difference in my hair when I don’t use it before straightening and when I do use it.

Now about its 3 day claim, I have tried to keep my hair straight unwashed for 3 days, using dry shampoo in between, and result is ok if not great. I mean hair are not super straight as you sleep on them, sometimes they get wet in shower but it maintains its straight shape more or less.

The only con I can think about is the build up on hair. After using it for continuous 4 times, I feel my hair has residue on them and I need to wash it with clarifying shampoo. But I think it happens with almost all of hair styling products. Otherwise it’s a great product for daily hair styling. Quantity is enough too for the price.
