Hello pretty IMBBians,
Whoever has curly hair raise your hands!
Well, mine shot up instantly.
Curly hair is a dream come true, it’s really gorgeous and always brings out the best in you.
However, it’s the most difficult to manage, tame, style and take care of. But, regardless of how challenging it is, in the end it’s always a show stopper.
For some time now, I’ve been into hair products that give my curls that oomph. A little boost of definition, shine, hold, or just about anything that can enhance their appearance and take them to the ultimate level. With that in mind, I delved into the world of hair mousse. And hence, today I’ve chosen L’Oreal Paris Studio Line Silk and Gloss Curl Power Mousse to review. So, let’s get started.

My Experience With L’Oreal Paris Studio Line Silk and Gloss Curl Power Mousse:
Packaging: It’s a sleek bottle with a orange- metallic color scheme. The dispenser is efficient. However, the lid is hopeless. It keeps coming out every now and then.
Fragrance: It’s a salon-like fragrance. A little floral and a splash of fruity undertones. A typical L’Oreal hair product fragrance.
Consistency: On applying a little pressure to the dispenser, a cute foam that is very similar to men’s shaving foam comes out. Super light-weight, though.
Results: It’s not what I had expected, at all. It looks like mousse and smells great, but very easily weighs your hair down, if used a little extra quantity is used. Even when it doesn’t weigh your hair down, it does nothing much to control “frizz” or to add “definition” to curls. I was really looking forward to this and was disheartened when it didn’t meet my expectations.
Also, the lid tends to come off easily, and the product stops foaming when subjected to air or kept uncovered for a while. Mine used to come out as a foam maybe for a month or two, but now it has just turned into this liquid form which doesn’t help with anything at all.
Usually, though chemical-laden, L’Oreal Paris hair care and styling products are a class-apart. But, it definitely doesn’t stand true with this mousse. In fact, I think I’m going to steer clear of all L’Oreal products for a while.
Pros Of L’Oreal Paris Studio Line Silk and Gloss Curl Power Mousse:
• Fragrance.
• Texture.
Cons Of L’Oreal Paris Studio Line Silk and Gloss Curl Power Mousse:
• Doesn’t keep up to its claims.
• Does nothing to tame frizz.
• Does not add definition.
• The lid is hopeless.
• Overall disappointing.
• The product gets spoiled if left uncovered for a while, and with the lid, the odds are never in your favor.
• Weighs hair down if overused.
• Can be easily overused.
IMBB Rating:

It’s a complete no-no. It’s not worth your money at all.
Would I Repurchase L’Oreal Paris Studio Line Silk and Gloss Curl Power Mousse?
I don’t think so. Even if I feel like re-assessing it, the current bottle would last me forever.
