During my last trip to Paris, I visited a drugstore. I was amazed by all the products they had! Few things grabbed my attention and I noticed this jelly-like lip balm sitting there. A quick search on IMBB yielded no results, and I then had the ultimate urge to pick this one up and write a review ASAP. Today’s review is all about L’Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Universal Lip Glow. Read on to know more.

My Experience with L’Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Universal Lip Glow:
L’Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Universal Lip Glow comes in a sealed black case packaging. The pink belt in the center of the black case makes it look sophisticated and beautiful. The cap shuts with a click and the product is easier to carry around. There is very less information available on the case.
Universal Lip Glow is similar to the twist up bullet packaging of lipsticks. The bullet is jelly like and has a pinkish tint, under the light, it looks fluorescent. It looks like a lipstick light! I spent most of my days trying to create a pinkish light hue through the lipstick. The lipstick is almost transparent and doesn’t impart any colour. It has a fruity fragrance which fades away quickly after application. Overall, the look and the package gets 5 stars and I absolutely love it!
The Lip Glow is more of a lip balm than a lipstick. It is easy to glide and the application is very smooth. There is no colour imparted when applied. It doesn’t feel heavy and leaves a light sheen on the lips. It is not sticky and is wax free. The Lip Glow also moisturizes the lips effectively. This is because it is enriched with pomegranate extract, emollient oil and polymers. The Lip Glow also makes the lips supple and soft and the effect goes on for a good 6-8 hours with no reapplication needed. It makes the lips a bit plump and creates fullness, I am not sure if it is only with me or it has some lip plumping properties.
The colour builds up gradually and this depends on your pH and moisture levels. For me, it creates a beautiful rose-pinkish hue and makes my lips look naturally beautiful. I have pigmented lips and the lip balm does its best to cover up the darkness. The colour keeps changing over the day, and I have had rose, berry-like and pinkish hues on my lips. The colour doesn’t survive meals and drinks and in this case, a reapplication is needed, but, I do not have much an issue here. The product also acts as a great base for lipsticks while treating dry and chapped lips. Overall, I absolutely love this Lip Glow and cannot wait to find it in Netherlands.
