My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Tint Caresse Lip Tint Orchid Blossom:

Let’s begin with packaging of the product as I am head-over-heels in love with the packaging of this product. The lipstick comes in a long cylindrical tube with ombre effect colors on it. The base of the tube is color coded according to the respective shade while the top has a nice mirror finish. It comes wrapped up in a cellophane paper, which bears some product-related information. There is a long screw on cap rather then a click lock type cap.

The cap fits pretty securely making it purse friendly. The tube is so sleek that it can fit in any clutch or pouch very easily. The shade name is mentioned at the base of the lipstick tube. The lipstick comes with a soft foam applicator having a pointed tip. The sharp pointed tip helps to define the lips nicely. The actual lipstick comes placed inside the cap and has a spring attached to it. So, while closing the cap, the applicator is pushed towards the lipstick end and in this way the applicator picks up the product. Overall, the packaging is beautiful, innovative and travel friendly as well.

“Orchid Blossom” is a beautiful fuchsia pink shade. It is a perfect brightening summer favorite shade. I personally love this color a lot. It is not too bold or bright and hence it is easily wearable even during daytime as well. It looks lovely on the lips. This shade will flatter all skin tones really well. There is no sheen or shimmer in lipstick and it almost settles down to a powdery matte finish.

The formula is decently pigmented and it requires two swipes for the color to show up properly. It delivers close to opaque coverage to the lips and is also capable of hiding mild lip pigmentation, but it may not be able to cover extremely pigmented lips. This is a cushion lip product that can be easily used to create beautiful gradation effect as well.

The formula is actually very unique and I have never come across any such formula. The texture is incredibly soft and smooth. It glides on the lips like a dream and does not cause any tugging or pulling of the lips. It feel super comfortable on the lips. The formulation is so lightweight that it almost feels like nothing on the lips. I really love the powder matte finish of this lipstick. The formula is not drying at all but it is not moisturizing either. If you have a problem of dry lips, prepping the lips well is advisable.

The brand claims it to be multi-purpose product. It can be used as a lip color, cheek color and a lip tint as well. I love using it as a cheek color as it is very easy to blend and gives a soft natural flush of color to the cheeks. The color is not really waterproof and fades away with sipping of water. The formula is definitely smudge-proof and does not budge at all. The formula is non-transferring. There is minimal transfer of color. But, once the lipstick fades away from the lips after having meals, the color settles into the fine lines of the lips.

The lasting power is average. It lasts on my lips for 4-5 hours. It may survive little snacking with mild fading but it gets removed completely from the center after a full heavy meal. It gets removed easily without leaving any tint behind.
