I am writing after a long time but not a day passes without checking IMBB posts. I am so addicted to this blog and love it to the core. Today I will be reviewing L’Oreal professional range shampoo. This is for the first time that I have indulged myself in a professional range product which I have never done before for two reasons. The first being professional range of products are available only at the salons and the second and the major constraint is that they are mostly super expensive. However I got introduced to this pocket friendly professional shampoo via a friend who had gone to a salon in Kolkata for auditing work and picked this up for me.

Product Claims: Removes residues to enhance the beauty of colored hair.

Directions: After emulsifying the color and rinsing it away thoroughly apply Inoa Post Shampoo to hair and massage in gently until obtaining creamy foam. Rinse carefully.

Price: 1300INR for 1500 ml
Best before 3 years of packaging.

My experience with L’Oreal Professionnel Inoa Post Shampoo:

This shampoo is meant for colored hair and my mother colors her hair quite often so this basically has been her staple shampoo for more than a year. The bottle I got is a family size one and for the sake of reviewing this shampoo I have used it for a few times.

It is not a sulphate and paraben free shampoo so if you are looking for stuff that’s free of those then this is not for you. This shampoo is in the form of a colorless fluid with a flowing and easy to use consistency. The bottle is so huge that it becomes difficult to handle it with wet hands, so I had to transfer some of it in a separate small plastic bottle.

Even though it foams generously it does not make dry hair and scalp drier than before. After washing it off what I get is silky smooth hair which makes hair styling much easier. On colored hair it retains the color for a longer time and smoothens hair even when a conditioner is not used after this shampoo. I would say that it is indeed a good option for people who are into hair coloring as this shampoo lengthens the shelf life of color on hair. While using this shampoo my mother had to do color touch ups less often than ever before.

The best part is that it suites all hair types. I got oily scalp and problematic scalp and dilute shampoos prior to using them. Unlike other shampoos this prevented my scalp from turning greasy the very next day of use rather it felt softer and smoother than before. Even when I used it post oiling my hair, it removes every bit of it thoroughly without irritating the scalp. After using this shampoo continuously for more than a year not only a quarter of the shampoo is still left but my mother did not get any kind of build ups on scalp which is a common after effect of other shampoos.

In all there is absolutely nothing that I can complain about in this shampoo except its availability. What more do I need in a shampoo which prevents hair color from fading out, is gentle in cleansing hair and does all that without weighing down hair.

Overall verdict: Overall this an effective shampoo for people who love to experiment with their hair by coloring it from time to time and need a solution to retain the color without creating a hole in their pockets. If you can get hold of this shampoo then you should definitely give this a try.
