L’Oreal Professionnel Prokeratin Liss Unlimited Shampoo Review

Hair Type: Straight, fine, dull, chemically treated, dry and frizzy

Hello everyone,

In this post, I am going to review L’Oréal Professionnel Paris Serie Expert Liss Unlimited Prokeratin Shampoo. I have straight, thin and fine hair which is chemically treated. I usually colour/highlight my hair at least once a month, due to which it has become dry, frizzy and untamed. Secondly, due to the water and weather here, I sometimes get dandruff and also have hair fall issues. I decided to try L’Oreal Series Expert Liss Unlimited Prokeratin Shampoo. Read on to know how far this shampoo helped me and whether I will repurchase this product?

My Experience with L’Oreal Professionnel Prokeratin Liss Unlimited Shampoo:

I purchased the standard 300 ml product, which is packaged in a beautiful, lilac-coloured shampoo bottle. The cap has a lid which shuts firmly and has a small hole to dispense the shampoo, which prevents unnecessary wastage. Packaging is travel friendly.

Honestly, I have to keep juggling between shampoos and hair products. Recently, I have had a lot of dandruff and hair fall issues. I have chemically-treated, unruly, and frizzy hair. Even after applying serum often, the effect would stay for a day or so. The water and the weather add “fuel to the fire,” not to mention the humid climate and exposure to heat and air conditioners.

This time, I decided to go for L’Oreal Series Expert Liss Unlimited Prokeratin Shampoo. I have been using this product for a month and a half now, once or twice a week, and I am ready to give my views. This shampoo is of velvety texture, and a white-colored fluid.

I always make it a point to oil my hair at least fifteen minutes prior to taking a hair bath. I first wet my hair, then I thoroughly massage this shampoo all over my scalp and hair and then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. It does not lather much and not much quantity is required for my shoulder-length hair. Secondly, even after oiling, one wash is enough, I don’t need to wash again. I also use a conditioner for long lasting and better results.

This shampoo definitely smoothens my unruly hair, tames and removes the frizz. It also adds shine to my dull hair. It does not completely remove the bounce or flatten out my hair; but keeps my hair straight and tamed. The texture of my hair feels smooth and silky. For better results, it is advisable to use this shampoo along with a conditioner and a serum oil to have long-lasting effect.

After using this shampoo, I have noticed that the texture of my hair has definitely improved, the dandruff has definitely reduced; however, the hair fall issue remains the same.

Pros of L’Oreal Professionnel Prokeratin Liss Unlimited Shampoo:

  • Prokeratin shampoo with kukui nut and primrose oil.
  • Does not lather much, and for me, this is a plus point.
  • Keeps hair smooth and straight, without removing the bounce.
  • Gives a shiny texture to my dull hair.
  • 300 ml size packaging is absolutely travel friendly.

Cons of L’Oreal Professionnel Prokeratin Liss Unlimited Shampoo:

  • Did not help resolve my hair fall issue.
