L’Oreal Professionnel X-Tenso Moisturist Intense Smoothing Masque Review
Hope all of you are enjoying this chill. To be honest, I am not, it’s so much cold here in Kolkata, it’s just unbearable. Anyway, let’s save the tangent for some other time and get back to the real story here. So, the product I am going to review today is L’Oreal X-Tenso Moisturist Intense Smoothing Masque. This masque is particularly designed to take good care of your chemically-straightened tresses, as mentioned in the tub. If your hair is chemically treated, then this is the perfect food for your hair. It adds luster and body and maintains the hair the way it should be maintained.
I bought this product two weeks ago and have tried only twice now. My hair is not chemically treated, and I have a medium to dry type of hair, with up to waist length. Although, this product claims to be made for re-bonded hair, but believe me, you can use it even if your hair isn’t. It comes in a white tub which looks the same like the L’Oreal “hair spa” tub. The masque has a jelly-like consistency, which quivers with a little shake, and is pure white in color. The smell is not chemical at all, rather it has a sweet perfume, which I am sure you all will love.
L’Oreal X-Tenso Moisturist technology Nutri Cationic. Nutri Cationic Technology: the cationic agents envelop the hair and create a protection layer .straightening is easier, homogeneous, and enhanced.

Directions To Use:
(used at home for hair care treatment). It extends the straightening effect. Apply and work into shampooed and towel dried hair. Allow masque to work for 5 minutes, then rinse. (I am skipping the “in-salon professionals use” for obvious reasons).
Pros of L’Oreal Professionnel X-Tenso Moisturist Intense Smoothing Masque:
- Affordable (considering the quantity it’s offering).
- Easy to apply, spreads evenly.
- Can be applied to both, chemically untreated and treated hair.
- Smells very good.
- Moisturizes hair.
- Makes hair softer.
- Adds shine.
- Reduces hair fall.
- Very little quantity required to cover all of the hair.
- Rich, soft, creamy texture.
Cons of L’Oreal Professionnel X-Tenso Moisturist Intense Smoothing Masque:
- Contains too many chemicals.
- Availability issues.
- Comes in a tub.
- Inconvenient to carry.
Final Verdict on L’Oreal Professionnel X-Tenso Moisturist Intense Smoothing Masque:
I have used this product only twice and so far, my hair feels soft and manageable with reduced frizz to a huge extent. Although, it has its fair share of chemicals, but nowadays, we seldom see a product which is chemical free. While using it, I always use it away from the roots of the hair, as I don’t want chemical deposits in the roots because that actually is harmful for the hair in the long-run. It has been advised to keep it for 5 minutes, but I usually keep for 15 minutes, wrap my head in a towel, and hover my blow dryer all around my head. Overall verdict is that if you have re-bonded hair, then you should use it as its specifically designed for chemically treated hair.
Do I Recommend/Will I Repurchase L’Oreal Professionnel X-Tenso Moisturist Intense Smoothing Masque?
I do recommend it to everyone. However, results may vary from person to person as our hair type/quality/texture are never the same. This contains way too many chemicals, that might keep the hair awesome looking for the time being, but definitely not good in the long run.
