My take on L’Oreal Rouge Soprano Extraordinaire by Colour Riche:
I am not a gloss person really, I am more of a typical lipstick wearer. But during the GOSF these were launched on a website with huge pomp, so I decided to take my chances. Shade selection was random because I have pigmented lips so I was not sure which color will look like what on me, I went with what I thought would be the darkest of them all. This arrived with just a plastic wrapping with all the ingredient list.
First things first, packaging is classy, pretty, elegant and mirror finish. I keep wiping off my finger prints like crazy. The cap fits snugly and shuts with a satisfying click, so no worries there. The shade of the lip color is marked on the body itself so picking is easy.
The applicator is doe-shaped and is soft and due to the narrow neck of the bottle, excess product is wiped off, so no clumpy mess on the applicator.The shade I picked is watermelon red (imagine a slice of watermelon, exactly the same). So it’s not in-your-face red but a subtle version of the same. In terms of consistency, I feel it is one of the best gloss that I have used. It is lusciously thick and nicely pigmented. It has a faint scent but nothing that will bother you.
It feels light and does not get sticky in course of time. The micro shimmers are in every sense micro, so you will not have a glitter-on-your-lips appearance. I wore it during the daytime too and it didn’t look flashy or over the top. I even wore it over a lippie and it took it to another level.
Since I have pigmented lips, it took me two swipes to give a medium coverage. As with any other gloss, it is better to exfoliate your lips and apply a lip balm if lips are very dry. I never felt the need to apply lip balm even during winters because the formula is rich enough for me.
Now coming to the staying power, it lasts for a little more than 2 hours, after which I see it fading but it still looks beautiful with a subtle rosy shine to the lips sans any glittery show. However, it does not survive a meal and needs to be re-applied. But I guess it is the same with most of the glosses.
Summing up pros and cons;

Cons of L’Oreal Rouge Soprano Extraordinaire by Colour Riche;

• Staying power could have been better but it may vary for others.
