L’Oreal Studio Express Refresh Invisible Dry Shampoo Review

Hello everyone,

Today, I will be reviewing the L’Oreal Paris Express Refresh Invisible Dry Shampoo. The only dry shampoo I have used before this one was the Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo.  I found the product quite inefficient and I have wanted to try a good dry shampoo ever since.  Also, since summer is back, and I see my hair becoming limp and oily within two days of wash, I bought this dry shampoo to my hair’s rescue. Read on to know if this is any impressive or not.

My Take on L’Oreal Studio Express Refresh Invisible Dry Shampoo:

I picked this dry shampoo as soon as I saw because I have always had a good feeling about L’Oreal’s styling products and products from their salon and professional range. The smell of the dry shampoo reminds me of a deodorant I used from Dove. It is more on the fruity side and does not linger for long.

The first time I sprayed it on my two-day-old oily hair, I was shocked to see that this did absolutely nothing. I thought I might have sprayed too much, and used it a few days later again. This time too, there was not a speck of difference. I tried using it one last time on different sections of my hair in whatever way I could, and noticed to my horror that this is an absolute dud from L’Oreal.

The product was clearly and evidently not working.  L’Oreal might have mistaken a deodorant or a hair spray for a dry shampoo. Really!

What does this product even do? Nothing. Neither does it cleanse my hair, nor does it revitalize it. I just feel I load my hair with more residue by using this.

Every time I am disappointed with a product, I find some way to finish it up. With this, I’ve lost hope that I can figure out a way to use it (or should I use it as a room freshener? Doesn’t work that way either).

It does not add any amount of volume to the hair and it in fact made my hair wet and limp. When I first sprayed it and noticed my hair become wet, I thought it would dry out within a minute, it didn’t! It remains wet and untidy, making hair look even worse.

Pros of L’Oreal Studio Express Refresh Invisible Dry Shampoo:

  • Really?

Cons of L’Oreal Studio Express Refresh Invisible Dry Shampoo:

  • Makes hair wet and limp.
  • Adds no volume.
  • Does not cleanse hair.
  • Does not have any effect on oily hair.
  • Does not live up to any of its claims.
  • Expensive.
  • Available only at salons.

Verdict:

I thought I was a generous person until I was asked to rate this product. Nobody can give it more than zero stars. It is such a let-down from the company. Extremely disappointed. Stay a mile away from this if you happen to find it. I want my money back!

  1. On no! I don’t like Fresh Dust Dry Shampoo much. But, now that one seems like a blessing in front of this one! And, ya thanks for reviewing!!

  2. Oops! Such a dud. Why loreal why? I had the exact same experience with some weird brand iona/lona. On top of that it had a horrible stench.
I like toni n guy dry shampoo. It is quite powdery. Fresh dust is also good.
