Buying foundations from drugstores are always a risky task. The Loreal True Match Lumi Foundation comes in a glass bottle with a plastic cap. One thing that I really like about this foundation is the pump dispenser. Unlike other drugstore foundations, this has a very convenient pump rather than just a simple open top bottle. The color that I chose is Creamy Natural and it matches my skin very nicely. They also have quite a few colors to chose from so finding my match was not much of a problem. This foundation also has SPF 20 octinoxate sunscreen. This particular foundation is a new formula, I believe. I have tried the old L’Oreal foundation and I like that one and I supposed they have revamped the foundation and brought out a new line. This foundation is a medium coverage foundation.
This definitely is not a build-able coverage foundation so if you have a lot of blemishes and such that you want to hide, I suggest you skip this. I have also noticed that the application can sometimes be a hassle. I usually apply this with my fingers for the best results. Though I should mention it is not very easy to blend, I feel it leaves a lot of streak marks whether I apply with brush, sponge, and even my fingers. It takes a while and a lot of effort for the color to settle on the skin. Though the formula is very smooth and creamy and not too runny, it has the perfect consistency. Regardless of how much of the foundation you apply, after a few hours I can see my own skin showing through. I have very slight redness on the sides of my nose area near my cheeks, and after a while I can see little patches of my skin showing through the foundation. Though I should mention this happens to me when I do not set the foundation with a powder. I usually do not set it but when I do it happens to last me a few more extra hours. I naturally have normal/combination skin, so my skin tends to get oily in some places of my face but this foundation seems to keep it under control. Aside from that this foundation claims to give a healthy luminous glow to the face and I can see a nice healthy look for the first few hours, after that it is gone. Overall, this foundation is not one of my favorites nor it is one of the greatest low end foundations around but since I have bought it I will end up using it for times when I am going out for a few hours or I just need a little bit of coverage.
