So, I had my first blush, then I bought another one, and before you know, I became a blush addict – True Story 😛 I think it just adds a beautiful glow to one’s face. If you haven’t tried a blush before, do not wait any longer. Just go ahead and do it!  I had read a few reviews and I really loved the colors of the L’Oréal Visible Lift Blur Blush, so I finally bought one in the shade “Soft Pink.”

Now, a blush that blurs blurs dullness with sheer color instantly while delivering the anti-aging benefits of Visible Lift. For a fresh, smooth youthful finish you’ll love. And not a flaw in sight.

How To Use:
Squeeze a small amount on the back of your hand and apply with fingertips to the center of your cheeks. Gently sweep the formula upward to enhance the cheekbones.

My Experience with L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Blush – Soft Pink:

Let me start with what’s good with the blush – I really love the color. It really is a soft pink and a beautiful shade to wear in winters. When applied, it really looks beautiful for as long as it lasts.

The blush comes in a small tube, which is pretty pink and easy to carry around in your makeup pouch.

Texture and Application:  I have never come across a texture like that of the L’Oréal Visible Lift Blur Blush in Soft Pink. It’s not creamy, but it blends easy. It’s neither powdery, but gives a matte look. It’s a blur blush, so I think it is supposed to act like a primer maybe and that explains the texture.

When you squeeze it out of the tube, it pops out in clumps and you can never be sure how much will come out. One major problem about this blush is that it is definitely not easy to apply with a brush. If you pick it on the brush, the product gets stuck in the bristles in clumps and eventually gets applied unevenly. One can only apply it nicely with fingers and that might not be a favored method for everyone.

In the swatches, one can see a slight shimmer, but that’s completely gone when applied on the cheeks, which again is not bad, but it’s definitely weird. Also because of the clumpy texture, even a little clump might be too much once applied. I had to use it a couple of times to eventually find out how much is enough. The key is to take only a little product and build on it, if required. Since the pigmentation is really good, a little goes a long way unless you want to end up looking like a clown.

The company claims that the L’Oréal Visible Lift Blur Blush blurs dullness. Well, the color is pretty, so it does perk up your face, but since it doesn’t last too long, the effect is only for 2-3 hours. It does look flawless and pretty natural for as long as it lasts. Also, I have dry skin, so if it doesn’t last long for me, not more than 2-3 hours. I am not sure for how much long it will stay on oily skin. A trick that I have used sometimes is to layer this blush with a powder one that I have and that increases the staying power.

Overall, although a pretty color, I am not very happy with the texture and the staying power of this blush.

Pros of L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Blush – Soft Pink:

• The color is really beautiful, only wish it had a good staying power.
• Easy to apply with fingers.
• Looks flawless, like a natural glow.

Cons of L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Blush – Soft Pink:

• Weird texture of the blush, cannot be applied with a brush.
• Doesn’t last long.
• Not easy to get out of the tube.
• Limited availability in India.
• Expensive compared to other drugstore products.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Blush – Soft Pink?

Not really. Even though the color is really beautiful, and gets easily applied, there are better blushes at a lesser price in the market. Though I heard the texture of the “Soft Peach” shade is very different and it’s a really good blush. Still, I would much rather explore some of the other brands than buying this one again.
