L’Oréal Wet Shine Stain – Infinite Fuchsia

L’Oréal Wet Shine Stain Infinite Fuchsia

Hey gals.. 🙂

How is 2014 treating you guys? I am also recovering slowly from 2013 shocks and welcoming 2014 with all my heart. Now Aadya has also grown up ready for day schooling hence I am nurturing a small plan to fulfill my dream which sparks in my heart ever since I took break from college and got married. I know it will not be easy for me and my hubby with his own set of issues & liabilities but it is again a blessing for me to have such a loving partner who still agrees to all my big & small desires. Hope so this year brings good luck, health and blessings in our life! Today I am here to share another purchase of mine which was long back in 2013 but always seated at back bench. You guys remember L’Oréal launched the dupes of their high end brand “Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain” sometime back with name: L’Oréal color caresse wet shine stain as a drugstore brand for stain lovers. Well I am not lucky enough to get hold of YSL stuffs yet (I would wait and own these high end stuff on my own one day. :)) hence I decided to get their dupes first.. 😛 lol I already own “Endless red” from this series which I love to core of my heart, hence I decided to try my new love fuchsia this time. So, please read on further to know about L’Oréal Wet shine Stain “Infinite Fuchsia” today.. 🙂

Packaging: This wet stain comes in super classy golden packaging tapered at end with screw cap. The tear drop doe foot applicator totally adds glam and oh so classy factor to this drugstore brand from L’Oréal . It smells like crushed rose petals or say gulkand, I love its smell. It seems travel friendly and child safe too.

My Experience with L’Oréal wet Shine Stain Infinite Fuchsia:

I love L’Oréal for the fact that it always gives us a feel of enjoying luxury stuff at drugstore price isn’t amazing? I don’t know if these stains deserve to be called as dupes of YSL glossy stains (I need to try YSL for a fair comparison)but they are definitely way better than other stains available in the drugstore as per my observation. These wet shine stains seem more like stains with glossy finish in few shades not all, for example “endless red” seems glossy and more pigmented & evenly coating while this “Infinite fuchsia” is slightly sheer when swatched on lips .

However, I also think that color build up varies upon how deep or light pigmented lips we have, often light shade which looks good on light pale pink lips may end up looking adverse on dark pigmented lips, it depends from person to person I mean. I picked this shade for its beautiful berry mixed fuchsia stain which looks slight purple once drying on lips after sometime. It gives sheer to medium coverage only when swiped more than 2-3 times. Since I have light pale pink lips hence I do not feel any issue with its sheer color build up. But I think it is not good enough for pigmented and chapped lips for it may accentuate them & highlight them. Unlike endless red this fuchsia seems slight difficult to apply, I need to be really careful while applying it evenly for it might end up looking streaky or cakey sometimes as it dries quickly even before I could apply a second layer, strange! I always need at least 2 swipes to build color and clean finishing on lips while multiple swipes often result bleeding or streaky, cakey appearance really irritating sometimes but still I love this shade and can live with it. It does not dry out lips if they are well scrubbed and hydrated. It glides easily on lips without any tugging or pulling from first stroke. This berry stain dries soon to become more intense fuchsia mixed pink stain which stays for good 6-8 hours on my lips leaving behind stubborn fuchsia stain thereafter. It hardly transfers once dry which is really good. I am happy with this fuchsia for it looks wearable on me apart from its formula and staying power provided a controlled application. No wonder it will take a hell lot of time to give a clean finishing on lips unlike endless red or other shades I think hence I love endless red more. I would recommend this shade to you only if you love to explore and experiment with new arrivals in makeup apart from its berry fuchsia pigmentation. It may also be a good start for trying wet stain lipcolors before getting hold of high end goodies!

Let’s sum up pros and cons 🙂

Pros: of L’Oréal Wet Shine Stain – Infinite Fuchsia

 A stain that gives glossy finishing and feels extremely light on lips truly.
 Beautiful berry mixed pink fuchsia shade which will compliment every skin tone preferably medium skin tone I guess.
 Infused with goodness of vitamin e, omega 3 and argan oil.
 Stays for good 6-8 hours thereafter leaving stubborn stain.
 Wide tear drop doe foot applicator ensures easy application.
 It works best on scrubbed, clean, well moisturized lips.
 Once dry this stain barely transfers on cups or stain clothes unlike other lipsticks, glosses or stains.
 It does not dry out lips however exceptions are always there.
 A pretty classy and travel friendly packaging at drugstore price.
 Yummy rosy smell which is not bothersome.

Cons of L’Oréal Wet Shine Stain – Infinite Fuchsia

• It might look streaky or cakey if swiped multiple swipes.
• It gives sheer coverage which might be bothering for gals with pigmented lips.
• It may become darker once dry hence need extra care while using .
• It dries quickly on lips hence we should quickly even it out or layer it on for desired build up else it will give an uneven, streaky finishing.

I believe apart from these cons we need not fear of trying these stains which are known to be dupes of YSL glossy stains among all bloggers. I think lipsticks, balms and stains are way different from each other and we cannot expect same pigmentation, texture or finishing from all of them, that’s how they are designed to meet certain demands. So I should not expect it to be richly hydrating like lip balm nor is it to be believed to replace lipsticks completely, it is definitely a new finding in makeup world which surely deserves love, I hope you are getting me? Personally I would love to try few more shades like “Berry persistent”, “pink rebellion”, “eternally nude”,”everlasting caramel” etc from this range. hope this helps.. 🙂
