Lotus Herbals 55 Mocha Blast Seduction Lip Contour Definer Review

How are you guys doing? I realize that I keep taking small breaks from writing reviews, unintentionally of course. But, henceforth I hope to be regular. Today’s review is on a lip liner by Lotus Herbals. Recently, while shopping online for makeup products, I realized that I don’t own any lip liner from Lotus Herbals. So, when I found this one on sale, I had to get it.
Let me finally move on to the review.

Background: Lip Contour definer has an enhanced creamy formula and a texture that prevents smudging all through the day. Its glide-on consistency makes it easy for you to define your lips, while the water- proof formula prevents loss or bleeding of lip color.

How to use:
Outline your lips with the lip liner. Hold the tube of lipstick to your lips and carefully apply it within the lines you drew with your lip liner. Start from the center of your lips and brush the lipstick outward, filling in all the gaps. For a more precise application, use a lipstick brush. If you go outside the lines of your lip liner, wipe the excess lipstick away with a tissue. Look in the mirror to make sure that you’re filling in the lines correctly. Applying lipstick without a mirror can lead to silly consequences.

Price: It retails for INR 245. I am not sure about the exact price that I paid for the product, but I guess I got it for approximately 185 rupees.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals 55 Mocha Blast Seduction Lip Contour Definer:

Packaging: This lip contour definer comes in a sleek pen type packaging with an automatic twistable mechanism. It has a sharpener attached at the end which makes it easier to sharpen the tip of the lip contour definer. The body of the pen comes in the same colour as that of the lip contour definer. This makes it easier for one to identify the colour of the lip contour definer. The name of the brand and product is written across the pen in golden colour. The lotus logo of the brand is printed on the lid in golden. When I fully twist up the pen, I get a lip liner stick which is only about three-fourth of an inch. Now, I think for the price that I’m paying, the quantity is quite less. Overall, the packaging is sleek and travel-friendly. It can easily fit into your purse.

Texture, Colour and Staying Power: Texture wise, this lip contour definer is neither too creamy nor too dry. I would have been happy if the lip contour definer was a bit creamier. The lip contour definer is quite pigmented. However, while filling my lips, I have noticed that it takes some effort to fully bring out the colour. This may be because the lip contour definer is not as creamy as I would have liked it to be. The colour is similar to that of a Cadbury’s Chocolate. 🙂 This will go well with all your brown lipsticks. On its own, the lip liner stays for about three to three and a half hours without meals. Unfortunately, I didn’t find too much of a difference when I wore my brown lipsticks on top. The lip contour definer did not make them last longer. After about three to three and a half hours, and after lunch, I realized that the lip contour definer had come off and I had to reapply both my lipstick and my lip pencil. The lip contour definer tends to exaggerate fine lines. Hence, proper exfoliation of lips prior to its use is warranted.

Would I Recommend or Repurchase Lotus Herbals 55 Mocha Blast Seduction Lip Contour Definer?
Maybe. I prefer Essence lip liners as they are creamier and much more affordable. For those of you who really don’t mind spending money on an average product, go for it, else skip it.
