I was super excited that Lotus has jumped onto the bandwagon of lip crayons and Chayanti’s reviews of “Orange Spice” and “N*de Blush” made me want to give a try. So, here I am with the review of Lotus ColorStylo Chubby Lip Color in the shade “Rouge Desire.”

Packaging:  Lotus Colorstylo chubby lip color is packed in a simple but classy white and pink cardboard box. The lip crayon is color coded with a twist-up mechanism. It has a flimsy, clear white cap. The bullet needs to be swiveled down carefully to avoid accidental breakage.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals ColorStylo Rouge Desire Chubby Lip Color:

“Rouge Desire” is a reddish pink color which would suit fair to moderate complexions. The shade shows up differently under different light settings, so the coral-pink tone becomes prominent in sunlight, while artificial lighting gives a beautiful reddish pink. The color can instantly brighten your face.

The crayon has a creamy texture and glides on so easily, without any tugging or pulling. The pigmentation is superb, and one swipe can give you a gorgeous color. With two swipes, you can have a rich color – lips look juicy and so fresh!

It feels comfortable and lightweight on the lips. Layering doesn’t lead to a cakey look. There is no feathering or bleeding of the lipstick, but it is not transfer-proof. However, after say 2-3 hours, my lips start to feel dry.

The staying power is decent and it stayed for 5 hours with no snacking. There was uniform fading after that, and a beautiful pink tint was left. You can easily remove the color by a good makeup remover.
