My Experience with Lotus Herbals Dermo Spa Japanese Sakura Skin Whitening Nourishing Night Creme:
The cream comes in a translucent, frosty finish, brown-colored glass jar. This jar has detailing on it in pretty gold fonts and it has a mirror finish gold screw-on lid. The lid closes tightly and makes this tub packaging leakproof, but the glass jar is bulky to carry around during travelling and it needs to be stored securely to prevent breakage. There is also a safety cover inside, which helps to keep the jar and its lid clean and mess-free. The jar does not bear much information about the product on it. All product-related information is printed on the outer packaging.
The cream is pure white in colour. It has a very refreshing floral fragrance, which is mild, and is not overpowering. It can be sniffed very close to the skin only, so the fragrance is barely bothersome. I love the sweet floral hints in this crème. This smell is so refreshing and summery.
The texture of the cream is on thicker side but it is not too thick. It feels buttery smooth and spreads easily on the skin. The formula is comfortable and lightweight to wear. It does not feel heavy or sticky on the skin. This crème also needs to be massaged thoroughly for it to get absorbed into the skin. Just dabbing it in would not work with this formulation. It does not take much long for it to get absorbed into the skin. And, I am happy with the fact that I do not need to massage this cream for too long because I totally hate cremes that need heavy massaging. It feels so comfortable on the skin, even in this humid weather. It does not make my skin oily or sticky. I wake up with a dewy and glowing face every morning. It does cover my skin with layers of oil overnight. It does not provide any glow instantly and sets to a matte finish.
This formula claims to be enriched with the goodness of Japanese Sakura and Mulberry extracts, which help to regulate melanin secretion, also cleansing the skin deeply, imparting better complexion. Though the brand claims it to be suitable for all skin types, the formula is moisturizing only for normal to oily skin, but if you have dry skin, this crème is just not enough to provide decent amount of hydration to last all night. I have been facing dry skin issues for quite some time and this cream could not provide enough hydration and nourishment to my skin. This is pretty safe to be used on my sensitive skin and has not does not cause any breakouts or skin ailments. So, this is a pro of this range. My skin reacts easily facial crèmes. So, thankfully, this did not cause any such issues.
Now, comes the skin lightening and whitening claims. This night creme does not really lighten up the complexion, but it made my skin even toned and glowing. It adds a nice glow to my ski and I wake up with fresher-looking skin every morning. My skin looks lively and nourished in the morning. It has helped to get a bit of glow, but if you are really expecting lightened skin tone from this creme, then you would not get any dramatic results. This product works more like a brightening creme.
