I love colors, and so whenever I see something colorful, I instantly buy it. Same happed with the product I have today. Today, I have an eye liner from Lotus Herbal. It is one of their Hypnotica Pearl Shine Long Lasting liners and the variant I have today is ‘Earthy Shine’.

Though’ this is not exactly a very colorful thing to buy, it was something different from our usual black liner, so I grabbed it. The mint color from this range actually caught my attention first, and then I saw this color. I wasn’t able to decide which one to get, so I brought both of them.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Earthy Shine Hypnotica Pearl Shine Long Lasting Liner:

Packaging: The liner comes in a little black colored plastic bottle that has a long screw cap. The cap has the same color as the liner. This actually makes it easier to get the required color from a stack of liners. The name of the color is only mentioned on the outer packaging. So, the colored cap is the only way to recognize the color of the liner. The cap is very sleek from the top which makes it easier to hold the cap and apply the liner.

Another fact I liked about this liner is its applicator. The applicator is very different from the usual applicator, it is not a brush applicator. Instead, it is a plastic kind of material which is tapered at the top to give it a perfect point. This shape of the applicator makes the application so much easy.

Color and Pigmentation: The shade Earth Shine seems to be a brown colored liner, but when observed carefully, it is more of bronze. The color has a pearly sheen to it which remains even when the color dries. The color is decently pigmented, but to get a complete opaque color two coats are required. Thankfully, the second application is not very difficult due to the shape of the brush which makes the application rather precise.

Staying Power: The Company claims this product to be long lasting and water proof and both these claims are completely true. The liner takes few seconds to dry, but once dried, the color becomes smudge proof and even rubbing the product several times does not affect it.

A splash of water also does not affect the staying power of the product. But, when the product is rubbed with a wet hand, it might smudge a bit. Unfortunately, the color fades unevenly and that does not look very flattering.

Overall, this is an amazing product especially in this price range. I am highly impressed with the product.

Yes! If you have never tried a brown eyeliner and you are not sure about how would it look on you, this is a good product to try. It is a good quality affordable product.
