This is my second article on IMBB. Two days ago, I went out for shopping with my mom. While she was busy in selecting sarees, I got some chance to visit a nearby beauty store and ended up buying this Lotus Herbals Ecostay Cherry Joy Long Lasting Lip Colour. But, am I really happy with my purchase? Read further to find out!
Claims:
Lotus Herbals Ecostay Long Lasting Lip Colour is a preservative free, natural, long lasting and hydrating lip colour. One swipe and your lips are ready for a healthier shine all day long without any loss of moisture, ensuring a flawless finish. SPF 20 gives UV Protection.
How to Use:
Outline your lips with the lipliner. Hold the tube of lipstick to your lips and carefully apply it within the lines you drew with your lipliner. Start from the center of your lips and brush the lipstick outward, filling in all the gaps. For a more precise application, use a lipstick brush. If you go outside the lines of your lipliner, wipe the excess lipstick away with a tissue. Look in the mirror to make sure that you’re filling in the lines correctly. Applying lipstick without a mirror can lead to silly consequences.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Ecostay Cherry Joy Long Lasting Lip Colour:
Lotus Herbals Ecostay Long Lasting Lip Colour comes in a beautiful rose gold colored cardboard packaging with the expiry date and claims mentioned on it. It claims to be preservative free, but no ingredients are mentioned. The lipstick comes in a satin, mauveish pink cover which is similar to the outer carton. The lipstick comes in a metallic pink slender tube with a long cap that closes securely with a click mechanism. I love the packaging as it is very classy yet sturdy and travel friendly. The shade number and name are mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick, so you have to store it upside down if you have many of these.
Cherry Joy is a very bubbly and beautiful, pink shade with red hues; without any shimmer and sheen. The colour appears exactly as it looks in the tube. This colour will suit fair and medium skin tones. It brightens up the face and looks very beautiful and playful. This can be worn by college girls and office goers and for people who don’t wanna grab too much attention.
The texture of this lipstick is creamy, but there is a slight tugging when applied which goes away in subsequent applications. It isn’t a buttery lipstick, so you need to exfoliate your lips before applying it. Ladies with very dry lips should apply a lip balm before applying the lipstick, otherwise it will settle into lines and accentuate dry, flaky areas. The colour settles to a matte finish within few minutes and doesn’t bleed. But, it transfers a little bit.
Pigmentation of this lipstick is okay-ish. One swipe doesn’t give the desired colour. You have to coat it 2-3 times on your lips for the color to look paque. But, even after taht much layering, it feels lightweight and subtle.
The color lasts around 5 hour on my lips without drying them out. It survives light snacks and drinks, but with a full meal it starts fading without leaving any stain and I have to reapply it.
This lipstick has a very light powdery scent which is not at all irritating and in fact, I love it. This scent disappears within a minute and won’t bother sensitive noses at all. It contains SPF 20, and it is 100% vegetarian. Also, it is preservative free.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Lotus Herbals Ecostay Cherry Joy Long Lasting Lip Colour?
Yes, I will buy this lip colour again as I am in love with this shade. If you want to try a light shade, you should go for this. But, people who love bold and bright lipsticks can definitely skip this one.
