Lotus Herbals Ecostay Long Lasting Lip Colour – Orange Lush Review

Hi girls,
Buying some new lip color makes me extremely happy! This time I picked up two new shades from Lotus Ecostay Lip Color range. Lotus has recently included 10 new shades in this range. All the shades are so beautiful and some of them are very unique. I really love this particular color on me.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Ecostay Long Lasting Lip Colour – Orange Lush:

Packaging: It comes in a very beautiful packaging. Lipstick comes in an extremely beautiful silk pouch which is nicely stored in a shiny pink cardboard box with all details of the product. Packaging feels luxurious and is travel friendly too.

Shade: Orange Lush is a very beautiful coralish orange shade with a warm undertone. I think it will complement all skin tones. There is no shimmer in this shade and it has a flattering matte finish. It instantly brightens up my complexion and gives a very bright look. The color looks different in normal light conditions. The shade is decently pigmented and needs 2-3 swipes for the perfect color.

Texture and Quality: Texture is smooth but not dreamy soft. It needs little pressure for smooth application. It can evenly spread on lips and doesn’t look patchy on lips. But extra layering makes application little patchy and also uneven. I need to exfoliate my lips; otherwise it doesn’t look so smooth. It keeps lips moisturized but I have extremely dry lips during winters so after few hours, it makes my lips little dry. I always need a balm underneath this. And also on dry lips, it settles on dry patches or fine lines.

Staying Power: This is really a long lasting lip color. It stays on my lips for around 6 hours. It fades away little from the center of my lips after 4-5 hours after a meal. Otherwise it stays nicely. One reapplication goes really long. It never creases and doesn’t transfer crazily.

Overall, I am just loving this beautiful orange shade this wedding season as it looks amazing on my medium complexion.

  1. Lovely lip swatches Chayanti! The color looks so gorgeous on your lips. I am loving the swatch of Wine n rum too 😛 It looks like Sonam’s pure garnet from Loreal Pure reds.

    1. Thank you Vishakha 🙂 Yah you are right. It is very similar with that shade. But the l’oreal one is little dark than this one 🙂

  2. Hello Chayanti,
Hope you are doing good. I am a new reader here. I do not have any lipsticks at all and i wanted to try the lotus range of long lasting lip colors, and so chanced upon your review. I have medium skin tone and my lips tend to be a bit dry. As you mentioned in your reviews on wine and plum and orange lush since both are great shades but dry lips do require a lip balm underneath these, can you suggest some good lip balms for me..? i have tried maybelline baby lips, nivea lip balm and vaseline too. But if there are better lip balms then can you suggest some for me please? Which ones do you use??
    Regards
    Kirti

    1. Hi Kirti 🙂
Thanks to write me. If you have dry lips then you need a lip balm underneath the lotus eco-stay Long lasting lip color. They have a tendency to make lips dry and also clings on dry patches during winter. So must use a hydrating lip balm. If you want that velvety matte finish of this lipstick with a lip balm then I would suggest you to go for EOS, Burt’s bee or Oralabs ChapIce Lip balms. They help to maintain that matte finish as well as provide good hydration. But if you love the light tint finish then you can use thebodyshop, The Nature’s Co Balm, baby lips. Theses are few options which I love to use..:) 🙂
