Lotus Herbals has recently launched their new matte lipsticks collection, and I have already reviewed ‘Choco Chic‘ for you all. Today I am going to talk about the shade ‘Fuchsia Fever’. Read on to know about this cute shade.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Fuchsia Fever Pure Colors Matte Lipstick:

Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a pretty beige-golden tube and it is a sturdy packaging that is easy to carry around. But the tube is same as their creamy range and I was expecting a matte packaging for the matte range. The packaging looks so common. The shade name is indicated at the bottom of the tube on a color-coded sticker. Overall, it is a budget-friendly matte lipstick.

Shade:
This range offers ten different shades and all the shades are really nice. The shade ‘Fuchsia Fever’ is a very pretty fuchsia pink shade. It looks bright and glowing on all skin tones. The shade is very common but still it looks nice. It makes my face bright and I can wear this shade daily with any makeup look. I think this kind of pinks look so cute with traditional dresses. Also, the shade does not have any shimmers.

Pigmentation:
This shade is not super pigmented. I need to build up the color on my lips. One swipe provides that light pink shade but the shade looks its best only after 2-3 swipes. I feel the pigmentation of the lipstick could have been better since this is a matte range. This lipstick cannot hide pigmented lips either.

Texture and Quality:
The brand claims that it’s a matte lipstick but it is a creamy matte lipstick. The texture is super smooth creamy type that glides easily on the lips. It makes my lips soft and moisturised, and feels very light on the lips. It has a balm-like formula and that’s why it is not a 100% matte lipstick. After a few minutes of application, the lipstick settles down to a nice, creamy- matte texture. Again, I had expected a better matte finish.

It never feels dry or patchy on the lips and never highlights those dry patches. It behaves like a normal, creamy lipstick except that this one does not have that extra glossy finish. But I like its non-drying texture that suits all skin types. The lipstick has a nice, mild smell that feels good. The lipstick never creases and never looks messy, but it does transfer.

Staying Power:
This color decently stays for around 6 hours on my lips. But it starts to fade after 4 hours and then it leaves a nice pink stain which lasts long on my lips. It can’t survive heavy lunch properly but can survive normal snacks. It doesn’t settle into the fine lines. Actually, I don’t have many fine lines, so can’t comment properly. But this shade never looks bad on the lips. Removing the stain of this shade is a little difficult.

Overall:
Even though this is a common shade, I still find it cute. It looks very nice on the lips. I like the non-drying, creamy-matte texture. Still, I would have preferred a pure matte finish.
