I purchased the product because it said that it is for “Dry” and “Damaged Hair.”

Cost:

Rs. 155/- for 220 ml.

Shelf Life:

3 years.

Soya Shampoo

Directions For Use:

Apply desired quantity on wet hair and lather it up. Rinse thoroughly. Follow with SoyaSmooth Conditioner for better results.

Ingredients:

Active Ingredients:

As I have been repeatedly mentioning about the product, it is Soya Protein & Brahmi

Other Ingredients:

Ingredients

Water, SLES – Surfactant, Decyl Glucoside – Mild surfactant that can be used even for sensitive skin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine – Synthetic Surfactant that is used to give thickness to the product and reduce irritation caused by ionic surfactant, Bacopa Monnieri Extract – Brahmi Extract, Soya Protein, Cocomonoethanolamide-foam-stabilizing, thickening, wetting, resistance to hard water, Water & hydrolyzed Keratin – I couldn’t find details on it, Sodium Chloride – used to thicken the shampoo, Ethylene glycol Monostearate – produces brilliant pearl essence and gives velvety feel
2- Phenoxyethanol – used as a solvent, Caprylyl Methicone – it acts as a gente cleanser, and also reduces greasiness and gives silky smooth feel, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride – adds conditioning properties to the shampoo, Polyquaternium 10 – Conditions the hair and adds thickness to the shampoo, Methyl Paraben Sodium – Anti-irritant agent and preservative. Though it is considered to be a safe paraben by the US govt. when used in small quantities, I still can’t get my mind off it, Citric Acid, Fragrance, and now I realize how much of chemicals my skin and scalp has absorbed.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Kera-Veda Soyashine Soya Protein and Brahmi Shampoo:

I purchased this product with great hopes as this comes from the Lotus brand, I am using the Lotus Lip Therapy for a really long time, which I just love and still can’t find a valid reason to replace it. I’ll review it some time later.

Coming to the “SoyaShine” Shampoo, my first disappointment with the product is with the lid style. It is really hard to open it. The style in which they’ve kept it, so that your thumb fits in thinking that it’ll be easy to open is :nonono: :nonono: :nonono: because I cut my thumb pad trying to open it. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

The fragrance of it is not so great.  The product looked shiny with a bit of pale yellow tint.  Only after my disappointment with this product, I stumbled upon this blog which has great reviews from people who have tried it for real.  The shampoo made my hair shiny to an extent, but did not do anything for my damaged hair and did not promote any hair growth, but I was quite happy with the product because it didn’t cause any hair fall. I just shed a few strands which is not abnormal or uncommon, so I continued using it.  I require two times coin-sized dose to clean my hip length hair. I generally dilute the shampoo I use.

Lotus Herbals

I was really disappointed when I purchased another bottle of this shampoo and almost when half of the bottle was over, I had scalp itching and got wounds.  I thought it was due to body heat and had loads and loads of lemon juice, tender coconut, buttermilk and what not to get my body temperature to normal, but still the condition of my scalp didn’t change and so I fetched another shampoo brand and found it was something with the “SoyaShine” shampoo that messed up my head and I’ve stopped using this product.

Pros of Lotus Herbals Kera-Veda Soyashine Soya Protein and Brahmi Shampoo:

  • Made my hair shiny.

Cons of Lotus Herbals Kera-Veda Soyashine Soya Protein and Brahmi Shampoo:

  • Bad packaging.
  • Didn’t do much as it had claimed.
  • I developed scalp problems while using this shampoo.

Rating:

0.5 /5, the maximum I could give for the product for the sheen it imparted to my hair.

Would I Repurchase Lotus Herbals Kera-Veda Soyashine Soya Protein and Brahmi Shampoo?

    1. Hi Noorie..

I tried the hair grow oil, the non sticky ones.. I liked it as well :waytogo: except for the fact that the water texture made my hair feel rough..
