Lotus Herbals Lip Therapy Fresh Mint-Review

I am currently obsessed with mint. I get everything in mint flavor or color. There are only a very few lip balms in mint flavor. When there is one in Lotus herbals lip therapy range, how can I ignore them? Most of us stick to vanilla flavor. I think it is time to try the fresh mint one. Let’s see how it fared for me.

Lotus Herbals says “The Lip Therapy’s highly active moisturizing formula with high concentration of Shea and Kokum butter, helps to repair dry, cracked and chapped lips and protects them from the drying effect of cold, dry winds of winter, making them looks look healthier and smoother.”

How to Use:

Apply evenly to lips as necessary. Use as frequently as required.

My take on Lotus Herbals Lip Therapy Fresh Mint:

The product comes in a hygienic cylindrical tube with a lid. It is a twist up balm. The twist-up portion is little hard to use. It is not bad. It is just not in par with the other like Maybelline or Lip ice. There is nothing fancy or appealing about the packaging except that it does a decent job. It is a non tinted lip balm. It can be used alone or under a lipstick. It is creamy and hydrates the lips well even in winter. I find it a tad bit waxy. It is gives a mild sheen post application on lips. I quite like the look on my lips. You can see that in the swatch. It looks so natural. The fragrance is too mild. It fades away too easy. I expected the smell to last at least for a while. It fails completely in that aspect. There is definitely some minty fragrance in the tube but you will not find it on your lips. This may be a positive for some. Contrary to other mint lip balms, this has no tingle or bothering sensation to lips. It stays well and sustained food.

• Mild sheen effect on lips.
• Contribution to the smiles fund makes this purchase worth spending. Though, they have not explained how.

Cons of Lotus Herbals Lip Therapy Fresh Mint:

• Fragrance.
• Twist up mechanism is little harder than the contemporary brand.
• Complete list of ingredients missing.

This is a very good lip balm for the winters for its healing and hydrating effects. I may not be repurchasing it again because of its lack of fragrance. What is the point in getting a mint lip balm with no mint flavor on lips? I love the vanilla lip balm from this range and will repurchase it again and again.
