Lotus Herbals Lip Therapy – Velvety Rose Review

Lotus Herbals Lip Therapy – Velvety Rose Review

Hello Beauties,

Winter is approaching and so is the time for cracked lips and lip balms. Today, I will review Lotus Herbal Velvety Rose Lip Therapy. I have used the Cherry variant from this range before and loved it. So, the last time when I saw Velvety Rose variant, I couldn’t resist myself and bought this one.

Lotus Herbals Lip Therapy Velvety Rose Review

Price:

Rs. 135 for 4 gm.

Product Description:

Rehydrates, heals and protects dry and chapped lips. Also contains SPF15 to protect lips against harmful sun rays.

Ingredients:

Shea butter, Kokum butter, velvety rose extracts.

Velvety Rose 1

My Experience Lotus Herbals Lip Therapy – Velvety Rose:

I love lip balms which are not too shiny and ones which are not runny like petroleum jelly.  If the lip balm has sun protection, its an added bonus because like our face, our lips also need sun protection. I have used Lotus Lip Therapy before and love them, but now, Lotus has improved a lot on their packaging.  Unlike before, the new packaging has a longer cap and the product name is printed on that.  It is somewhat like Nivea lip balm packaging, but this one is a thinner tube than that.

Now, coming to the fragrance, it smells like roses.  Unlike most of the fruity-fragranced lip balm, this one smells like roses, but it is a pleasant smell. It is not overpowering, so it won’t irritate the sensitive noses. The lip balm looks pink in the tube, but when applied on the lips, it gives no color. So, it is a colorless, somewhat matte lip balm.

Velvety Rose 2

It glides very well on my lips, not waxy, not very runny.  It works nicely on cracked lips. It moisturizes my lips well and keeps them crack free. It can be used under the lipstick as it is not runny and has a SPF of 15.

Velvety Rose 3

The moisturization effect does not last very long. I keep applying it every 2-3 hours or as and when needed. However, as it comes in a tube packaging, it is easy to carry around and multiple applications are not messy, but fun to do.

Pros of Lotus Herbals Lip Therapy – Velvety Rose:

  • Lives up to its claim of rehydrating, healing and protecting dry and chapped lips.
  • Has SPF15 protection.
  • Tube packaging, hygienic and easy to use.
  • Improved packaging from last year.
  • Smells like roses, but not overpowering.
  • Easily available.
  • Can be used underneath the lipsticks.
  • Recyclable packaging, not tested on animals and contribution to “smile” funds makes it a good purchase for a good cause.

Cons of Lotus Herbals Lip Therapy – Velvety Rose:

  • Staying power could have been better, as Lipice balms cost almost the same, but has better staying power.

Final Verdict on Lotus Herbal Velvety Rose Lip Therapy:

If you want moisturized, chap and crack free, hydrated lips which are protected from sun with SPF 15 protection, then go for this lip balm. If you want color or tint in your lip balm or want a long-lasting lip balm, this is not for you.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5

Will I Repurchase Lotus Herbals Lip Therapy – Velvety Rose?

Yes, I will, maybe a different variant next time.
