Today, I am going to review Lotus Herbals Moistpetals lipstick in Burgundy.  Shade number is 111.

My Take on Lotus Herbals Moistpetals Lipstick – Burgundy:

The lipstick comes in a classy packaging, it’s red and gold in color. The packaging is not girly at all and won’t look good in the hands of a teenager.  The packaging is a little “mature-ladies-type,” if that makes any sense!! :silly: No doubts, the packaging is sturdy.

They have given no color band on the lipstick; so if you wish to identify the color of the lipstick without wanting to open it, you can only read its name written at the bottom. This is something that I personally dislike.

The lipstick is very moisturizing, smooth and creamy! In no way, it dried my lips. The lipstick lasts a good time, around 3-4 hours and I’m happy with the staying power because I don’t mind re-applying and because the lipstick is 97% natural. If I’d want it to last the whole day, I’d be expecting way too much from Lotus.

The shade looks really bold and it is a maroon color with purplish undertones. It contains some shimmer which doesn’t look odd at all. This lipstick doesn’t give a matte finish. You wouldn’t wear this shade with any and every outfit and it is not an every-day shade at all! The shade is highly pigmented. One swipe on your lips and you’re done!!

The shade looks quite dark, but I don’t know why my camera wasn’t picking up the color!!

What I Like about Lotus Herbals Moistpetals Lipstick:

:rose: The lipstick is very moisturizing, smooth and creamy.

:rose: It stays for a decent time on the lips.
:rose: It is excellently pigmented.
:rose: Lotus claims it to be 97% natural!! :green:
:rose: A variety of shades are available.
:rose: It is reasonably priced.

What I Don’t Really Like about Lotus Herbals Moistpetals Lipstick:

:deadrose: Lotus cosmetics are not easily available.
:deadrose: I don’t like the packaging a lot! It could have been more chic style!!
:deadrose: It smells like Boroline or something similar!!

Would I Buy it Again?

I don’t think so. I’ll take a long long time in finishing this up too, but I’d definitely like to pick up more shades from this range!!
