My Experience with Lotus Herbals Pure Color Lipstick – My Peach:
I have been hearing some amazing things about these lipsticks and other cosmetics from Lotus Herbals on IMBB and frankly I have never tried anything from them except their sunscreens. I have tried almost all their sunscreen variants till now and a few other skin care products as well, but always wanted to try their lipsticks, glosses and foundation especially. Finally, two weeks ago, I bought 2 lipsticks, a gloss and a sunscreen from their website, but just after a week of placing the order, there was some women’s day discount on their website, but anyway, better luck next time: P
This is one of their new shades if I am not wrong. The packaging is really simple. It comes in a golden packaging, which is very sturdy. The color “My Peach” is a rusty orange shade and has a satin finish, it is completely matte. The color is not really a true peach and is slightly darker. The color itself is an orange with brown undertones, more like a peachy brown and not true to its name. It’s not a very bold color and is very wearable, so if you fear from wearing pure oranges, then this is a great one to try!
I do not find anything unique about this shade as I have seen many similar shades;I find it very similar to MAC Mocha as well, but nevertheless, it is an excellent pick for most Indian skin tones, it will look best on medium to darker skin tones especially. It would be a great choice for office wear as well and a great change from the normal browns. It looks slightly darker on my skin tone than I expected so I like wearing it either lightly, or I blot the excess color after application to tone it down.
I absolutely love the texture and for the price, it is an absolute steal! It is quite moisturizing and glides very easily on lips without any lip balm underneath and will work equally well for dry lips as well, but at the same time, the texture is not overly creamy and just right I feel. There is no thickness or heaviness even after layering and feels very comfortable on lips. It did not settle into the lines on the lips at all, so I am very happy. It works very well with a lip gloss on top and does not look patchy at all.
The pigmentation is just superb; it deposits 90% of the color in a single swipe itself, so you not need to go over and over. It will work very well for pigmented lips as well because of such great pigmentation. The lipstick did not feather or smudge and lasted for around 4 hours on me. With light meals in between, there was some fading with minimal transferring, but it does not vanish completely and leaves behind a beautiful stain which lasts for another 2 hours and comes off easily with any makeup remover. Apart from everything else, I only wish the color was a true peach as per the name, but otherwise it is an amazing lipstick.
