Lotus Herbals PureStay Lip Gloss: Darling Lavender, Vintage Rose and Plum Delight

Lotus Herbals Pure Stay Lip Gloss Darling Lavender Vintage Rose and Plum Delight

**I am the chosen one** I am honoured to review the gorgeous “PURESTAY” range from Lotus Herbals on behalf of IMBB. I used to dream about it from the very day Rati informed me about it. When I actually received the huge package, I went berserk! I could not decide what to open first, the glosses or the lipsticks, the shadows or the pencils; whether I should mutilate the packaging or keep it and so on. I can see some fireworks happening now 😛 but trust me, I had to put my head back on my shoulders and focus on reviews, so that we can put forward a great selection of shades for you to pick up as soon as this hits the stores. So, keep you notepads ready girls!

Purestay 1

There are 10 glosses that I received and the first thing that struck me was, “can glosses be so pretty!” If you know me, you know I am a lipstick person. Glosses don’t tempt me much, but when I saw these, I thought these are for keeps, and I could see myself using them.

Purestay 2

The whole soft pink packaging, the huge gloss tube, the sturdy bulky hold that it has, everything about these glosses is pure lust! Initially, I thought that these have been inspired by Lakme in terms of packaging, but when I actually saw them in person, I knew these are a class apart. These are a gloss lover’s dream.

Today, I am reviewing three shades like I mentioned and I clubbed them together for the review because all these three shades are non-shimmer. These are all creamy glosses; I mean you can use them ideally over lipsticks and also these three happen to be my first loves out of the 10 when I first saw them.

Darling Lavender:

This one is a very different shade. You must have seen many Youtubers wearing this shade in the name of a nude lip. This is very pretty when you see it in the tube, but honestly, this shade can be very hard to be pulled off by the most olive skin tones. The color would be best when worn over darker lipsticks that you want to tone down.

Vintage Rose:

Vintage Rose 1

Vintage rose

This is by far my favourite and also the first I tried out. This is a coral rose color and I can see this being a huge hit very soon. It can give all Revlon lip glosses a run for their money because of the price point and the whole feel to this gloss. This gloss also has no shimmer and can be used alone or top of you favourite coral pink lipstick. Get it as soon as possible.

Plum Delight:

Plum Delight 1

Plum delight

This was the second favourite I tried out. This is a maroon plum kind of a shade and I can see plum lovers getting it first as opposed to coral pink lovers. The gloss fades beautifully after 2-3 hours and then it looks like a pretty soft glossy maroon on me. I like it even better when it fades.

Purestay 10

Now, coming to the texture, these glosses can feel a little sticky, but this is what gives them amazing long staying power. The gloss stays on me for a minimum of two-and-half hours and then fades beautifully like a sheer lipstick.

Purestay 11

I like it even better on top of lipsticks because they have all my favourite shades in corals, roses, pinks and the like. The applicators are long, regular, doe-foot ones.

Purestay 12

The glosses are HUGE! I mean huge. These come in a pretty pink carton with a tiny booklet informing us on other products too. These don’t come in satin pouches like the lipsticks and compacts. These smell mildly floral and are 8 grams of sinful gloss in there. The texture can be compared to the Lakme Star Shine ones, but thicker and more pigmented.

Purestay 13

Last Word:

Vintage Rose will be a huge hit.  These glosses are thick, creamy, pigmented, and a luscious array of colors to chose from for every girl. If I can find them irresistible as a lipstick lover, then God be with lip gloss lovers. Also, I feel glosses are the highlight of this range honestly. For Rs.395, these are absolutely delightful!

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5 (little sticky and hence -0.5)

  10. Lovedddd vintage rose.im actually looking for a peachy pink colour. But it seems vinatge rose has a slight purplish/bluish undertone.Got any suggestions for a baby pink/peachy coral sorta lip gloss anyone?

  11. I have a light wheatish complexion and I must say Vintage Rose suits my skin tone just PERFECTLY. However, it lasts for less than an hour if you drink something, be sure you will transfer most of it to the glass/cup and it will not last at all. So I am looking at a lipstick which gives the same colour effect as the Vintage Rose gloss. Can anyone help me with this?
