To make you choices easier, I am reviewing all the four eye contour definer from this range, which are:

• Opal- a opal green shade with sheen.
• Emerald-an absolutely matte henna green shade.
• Black pearl-a silvery grayish black with silver shimmer.
• Royal Orchid-a pure pinkish purple with silver shimmer.

Lets get on to my first impressions about these gorgeous eye pencils. Firstly, I started to feel greedy about more colors, I felt why just 4! Then when I swatched them on, I found them too creamy to be true, particularly the matte henna green one in “Emerald”. The price might raise an eyebrow initially but when you use them, you will be convinced.

My personal favorite is the “black pearl” one. It is rightly named and it has that silver-gray feel to it which is a great change to your regular jet black pencils and kajals. The pencils gives a literal burst of pigmentation with the warmth of swiping it.The silver shows up pretty and not OTT.

The Emerald one is a very unique green I have ever seen. the color is matte green and looks excellent as a shadow. I use it all over my lid and then throw in some mascara.

The opal one feels like the Bourjois waterpoof eye liner in “blue remix”.but the Opal one is more green but the feel to it is very same.This can look great on fair skin. Again, it is great as a shadow as well.

The Royal orchid is very pretty as a shadow, its purple with shimmer and might need some black to it, in some sort to complete your eye look.

The texture of the liners is very creamy, soft pigmented and they may crumble just an initial few times . But once I sharpened them, they are sorted. The black pearl on which I have used for the eyes today, did not break or crumble at all when I was building it up for the look.

I like to keep my pencils sharp and hence I prefer these to twist-up ones. I like the simple and no-fuss packaging with the beautiful print and correspondingly-colored pencils.

The deal with these liners, in case you are wondering about the price point, is that, these eye pencils do not smudge at all whatsoever! I have oily lids and it lasted me more than 8 hours after which I could see very minor smudging. Consider its magic for non-oily eye lids.The pencil, creamy to apply, sets in 5 seconds, to wonder! The pencil feels like my own skin because it is so light and wont feel sticky. It would just set dry leaving me carefree about my eye makeup! Stunning isn’t it?

The Lotus Herbals PURESTAY Eye Contour Definers are creamy, soft, smooth, pigmented and these do not budge once set. Personally, once I used them, I was convinced about the price point, I will be repurchasing the “black pearl” for sure.I hope they come out with more eye pencils of this top-of-the-line quality. 🙂
