My Experience with Lotus Herbals Rose Spell Ecostay Long Lasting Lip Colour SPF 20:

Beginning with packaging of this beautiful lipstick. The lipstick is housed in a metallic pinkish cardboard packaging, which bears the details like product description, shade number & name, manufacturing & expiry dates, etc. This outer packaging is of good quality. When you open this outer packaging, you will see a beautiful metallic pink lipstick tube wrapped up in a pretty, satin pink pouch.

The packaging is so beautiful and girly. So, I want to give full marks to the packaging of this lipstick. It looks so luxurious and feminine. This long and slender lipstick tube has a mirror finish. The lipstick’s body is not colour-coded, so I need to check at its base for the shade name, but I do not consider it as a flaw of this packaging because it otherwise so girly. So, no complaints! I store such lippies upside down in my stash to pick up the shade easily.

The tube has a long cap indicating the brand name. The cap also fits securely and ensures that it does not come off while carrying around. Rose Spell is a very fresh rosy pink shade with red undertones. It looks almost red in the bullet. But it is reddish pink shade. It looks amazing on fairer skin tones and perks up the face instantly. The colour is so pretty; it looks so cool & summery. Such shade can be easily carried anywhere as it is not very bold. Yes, it is bright, but does not look over the top.

The texture of the lipstick is nice. It is soft & creamy. It glides on so smoothly onto the lips. It will not cause any dragging of the lips even if you skip your lip balm. It might cause a little tugging while using it for the first time but after that it goes smooth. But, still, I would say it is not buttery smooth. Exfoliation is mandatory before application else it will surely cling to the dry patches of the lips. The lipstick sets to a semi-matte finish. It looks so even and does not look patchy. I prefer blotting it sometimes to get a perfect matte look.

It does not bleed or smudge at all even after hours of application. There is a very minimal transferring of the lipstick. I find the formula of the lipstick quite moisturizing. It does not dry out the lips and does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. The lipstick is tagged as 100% vegetarian. The formula comes with SPF-20; hence it will protect your delicate lips from the sun. The lipstick has no significant smell. So, it’s a “yay” for those with sensitive noses. The formula is feathery light and feels comfortable on the lips. It is really lightweight & non-sticky. Pigmentation wise, it is good.

It takes atleast 2-3 swipes to get opaque and even finish. It hides the pigmentation of the lips and gives an even colour. The lipstick lasts on my lips for more than 6 hours with a little drinking. It survives full meals with a little fading from the inner corners of the lips. So, I do need an easy touch up. After 5-6 hours, it fades away leaving a pretty pink stain behind, which can be easily taken off with a makeup remover. Overall, I really like the shade & the quality of this lipstick.
