Lotus Herbals Seduction Botanical Passion Fruit Splash Tinted Lip Gloss Review

Purple is one of my favourite colours. I saw this lip gloss at the Lotus Herbals counter and since I do not own a single purple lip product, I thought of giving this one a try, hence I picked this one up.  Let’s check out more details about this purple lip gloss.

Product Description:

A unique, high gloss lip care formulation with a non-sticky feel. Enriched with botanical extracts of Grapes and Jojoba that make lips soft and supple for long. The unique product qualities are it comes with a sponge brush applicator for smooth even application, Freedom to use as top coat without affecting lip color.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Seduction Botanical Passion Fruit Splash Tinted Lip Gloss:

Packaging:

This lip gloss has just a transparent plastic outer body and a golden cap. Some details are printed on the body in gold. The cap has a sticker to display the shade name and number. The see-through plastic body allows us to easily locate the shade. The wand has a doe-foot applicator, but apart from that, there’s nothing interesting about the packaging.  I would give no points for packaging here! :p

Color/Pigmentation:  Passion Fruit Splash is a very nice purple shade with silver shimmer in it. The shimmers do not appear prominently on the lips, they are very subtle. Pigmentation is good. You can easily build the shade or lessen the intensity with the doe-foot applicator. It looks really good either way!

Texture:  The texture is smooth but you do feel a bit of shimmer. It glides on easily and lips do not feel dry. When you remove the gloss, the lips feel a bit moisturized.  There’s no problem with shimmer as it gets removed very easily and doesn’t stick on your lips. The gloss is only a tiny bit sticky, but that’s how a gloss should be.

Staying Power:  It has an average staying power of 3 hours or less if you are eating/drinking. It fades away after some time. You have to reapply the gloss after a couple hours.

Scent/Taste:  It has the same smell like that of Lotus Herbals lipstick, but has no taste to it. The smell doesn’t linger, so no problem for sensitive noses!

• Affordable.
• Sturdy packaging.
• Nice color and pigmentation.
• Good texture.
• Lips feel a bit moisturized when the gloss is removed.
• No taste and the smell doesn’t linger.

Cons of Lotus Herbals Seduction Botanical Passion Fruit Splash Tinted Lip Gloss:

• Low staying power.
• Very simple packaging (although not really a con :p).

Yes, I do recommend this gloss to you girls! As for me repurchasing it, I’d say no, because it will take time to finish this one! And there are so many lip glosses in the world to try!
