I had a couple of Lotus herbals lip liners, I thought I should review them. This one is a pure maroon shade for all your deeper pink lipsticks.It comes in a matte finish and has a sharpener attached to it. I find the sharpener attachment really useful.In fact even after the pencil is over, the sharpener can be kept back for all your other retractable pencils.
The pencil is nicely packaged and has a click lock,the sharpener at the base also click locks well. The shade of the body of the pencil matches the lip liner which is great to find in your stash.The pencil is two way retractable so no worries of breaking the pencil mistakenly.I find the length a little less than most other retractable ones but it is okay.
Coming to the pencil,it is not creamy. It is just fine, not too smooth or crumbly. It feels sturdy enough and the application is fine as it does not break or crumble on the lips.What I did not like is that on dry lips it might feel draggy.It is not creamy hence dry lips can use shorter strokes to line.The color pigmentation is good, one coat gives you enough color. It could be used carefully to fill the lips as well but it gets too matte and dry in that case.
Another thing I did not like is these days many lip pencils set to a smudge proof finish.This one does not. Hence with meals this will smudge outside the lip line.the pencil works just fine, neither too problematic nor too impressive, it is an okay maroon lip liner with average staying power.
