I am not at all fond of glosses, and feel more comfortable using lipsticks, but just to try a gloss, I decided to give a shot to Lotus Herbals Ecostay lip gloss in a bright red color. So, I picked up the shade “Tomato Squash.” Read on to know how it performed.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Tomato Squash Ecostay Lip Gloss:
Packaging: This lip gloss comes in a sturdy, rectangular, transparent plastic tube with a rose gold colored screw top cap. The gloss has a thin but soft sponge applicator wand that picks the right amount of gloss. The packaging is quite sturdy and can be easily carried around in a makeup bag without any leakage.
The first thing I love about this lip gloss is the color. It is a bright tomato red kind of shade, which can be carried by all age groups. It looks very pretty on the lips and gives a crimson shine to your pout. Unlike many others, the gloss is not runny, in fact, it is not even very thick and opaque. I really prefer creamy glosses which would help shape up lips and adhere to the lip lines, hence I am loving this range.
The formula of the lip gloss is perfect. It has a gel-like consistency – neither thick-gloopy nor runny. It glides smoothly on the lips without smudging or bleeding and applies evenly. It is not extremely sticky, but yes, a slight tackiness persists, but it feels very light on the lips. It is an amazingly pigmented lip gloss, gives a saturated color with a single swipe and feels like liquid lipstick with high shine. It is extremely hydrating, giving a healthy and plump look to lips.
This lip gloss is a stunning red shade with minute shimmers, but the shimmers don’t look OTT and add to the beauty of the shade. I feel this is a great bridal color too. The shade is comparable to “Sizzling Red” from this same range.
The lip gloss lasts for good 4 hours and fades gradually leaving a beautiful reddish pink stain behind. Even after the gloss fades away, it leaves your lips feeling all soft and hydrated. Having food or sipping water will undoubtedly remove your color soon.
