It’s never a good day without a kajal or eyeliner 😛 I really love kajal on my waterline all the time, but owing to sensitive eyes, I avoid it most times, but I never miss swiping my upper lash line with a dash of that eyeliner. I have never owned a purple liner before and ironically purple is my favorite color! 😀 So let’s get to the review.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Trendy Violet Hypnotica Pearl Shine Long Lasting Eyeliner:

The eyeliner comes in a little black colored bottle that is almost flat. The bottle has a color-coded cap with a felt-tipped brush. The brush allows you to achieve thin as well as thick lines with ease. I am not a big fan of the packaging since it is not that convenient to use. It is slightly difficult to handle because of its size. The brush is good and the slim handle rests well in the hand.

“Trendy Violet” is actually a deep purple with shimmers. The color is very lovely and brightens up the eyes. The color is not over the top and bright, it is subtle and attractive at the same time. I usually prefer pencil liner over liquid since I find them easier to use, but liquid liners are best to get that perfect wing.

This liner does not make my eyes itchy or watery, since I have sensitive eyes. It gives a shiny-matte finish once it dries. It claims to be waterproof, but it can just resist water to an extent and gets washed off if I rub it. Also, it starts to flake from here and there after about 3 hours. It is not that smudge proof since it flakes.

Lasting power could have been better, but I do not mind since my eyes cannot take it for long. On the whole, I really like the color and the formula of this liner, but the claims are not accurately met. Though I think it is worth a shot.

• Not very smudge proof.
• Starts to flake after about 3 hours.
• Lasting power could have been better (not a con for me).
• Not completely waterproof.
• Missing ingredient list.

It is a lovely color to own that brightens up the eyes. Though the claims are not met, it is worth a shot.
