Hello pretty ladies!
My skin is super oily for most part of the year. My sebum glands are overactive and produce oil like crazy, giving tough competition to the Gulf! On a serious note, my oiliness becomes an issue since I am prone to breakouts and makeup doesn’t stay on for long, even with a primer. So anything which claims to ‘control oil’ beckons me, and here I am reviewing Lotus Herbals White Glow Active Skin Whitening and Oil Control Face Wash. Let’s see if it’s worth a recommendation.

Packaging: It stays true to the white and silver packaging of the ‘Whiteglow’ range. The tube is lightweight and easy to carry. The silver flip open cap closes securely. The necessary product details are mentioned at the back of the tube.
My Experience with Lotus Herbals Whiteglow Active Skin Whitening and Oil Control Face Wash:
I am currently using Jovees Papaya Face Wash and I am more than happy with it. But there is no harm in trying out new things, right? The texture of this Lotus face wash is very runny. So I always end up with more product than required. The pearly liquid lathers well, so those who like foaming face washes would like this. The scent is common in all Whiteglow products, so if you have used any from the range you will know what I am talking about.
It cleanses my face quite nicely. Dirt, grime, makeup – everything gets cleared with one wash. My skin feels clean, but not the squeaky clean kind. I like the squeaky clean feeling, but this doesn’t give that. Also I feel there is a slippery cast left behind if you don’t wash it off very well. So I need to use more time and water to wash my face.
It controls oil for around 3 hours or so. My skin turns oily after that, especially the area around my nose. My face washes can control oil for some time, so I expected an oil control face wash to work more effectively and keep the face matte for at least 5 hours. Also, I am not interested in the skin whitening properties, so it does nothing significant for me.
