Lotus Herbals Whitening+ BB Mattifying Glow Fairness Creme SPF 30 PA+++ Review

Today’s review is going to be on a newly launched BB cum fairness cream that I have been using for the past few weeks. I bought this cream since I love their sunscreens a lot, and I honestly am in love with this product.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Whitening+ BB Mattifying Glow Fairness Creme SPF 30 PA+++:

Lotus has an amazing range of sunscreens, and this is another great addition to their ‘Safe Sun’ range. I came across this product at my local beauty shop by chance, and instantly I picked it up. This comes at a very reasonable price. It is packaged in a white cardboard box with the description of the product. The actual product comes in a cute, small, white tube with an orange cap. The tube is very cute and travel friendly; it actually needs little space into your purse. I like this packaging. This is actually  a sunscreen in BB cream format; it works both ways. So it is quite an interesting one. It comes in only one shade, and it didn’t look like it matched me properly at first.

But its light formula easily gets absorbed into my skin and within few seconds, the shade gets mixed up with my medium skin tone. But it will not match dusky beauties properly. It is good enough for fair to medium skin tones though. I love the texture, and it glides on skin like butter. It comes in a smooth creamy texture. When you apply it on the face, it looks like a tinted moisturizer, but within few minutes it gets absorbed into the skin totally and leaves a matte, yet dewy finish. As I have oily skin, it looks very nice on me. But it can’t provide totally matte effect after application on my oily skin. It is definitely a good cream for daily use. It doesn’t show dry patches and never looks cakey on face. I love its finish! It actually looks super smooth on skin. It actually makes my skin look super smooth throughout the day. With high SPF, it also can provide a nice coverage. It can cover light blemishes and uneven texture of my skin. It provides light coverage which is good for daily use. It looks natural on skin, and doesn’t look made up at all. It can instantly brighten up my skin tone with a glowy effect. I couldn’t notice any changes in dark spots. Maybe I need to wait more for the best results to show up. As it claims, it wouldn’t clog pores. Now as a sunscreen, it protects from sunrays with SPF 30 PA+++. Generally I am satisfied with SPF 30, but it comes in SPF 50 variant too.

It never makes my skin greasy on exposure to sun like other sunscreens. It can control oil upto 2-3 hours. After that, my T zone becomes oily. It says that it needs to be reapplied after every 2-3 hours. I think it is not possible to reapply it, as per which I would say the staying power is quite less. Another good thing is that it never settles into the fine lines after a long day and doesn’t transfer to mobile from my skin. Overall I have fallen in love with this BB cream. It is a great option for this fall season as during this time, I need to keep my face soft with a mattified glow. It can fulfil all the basic skin care needs.

• Comes in only one shade, so there is no option for dark skin tones
• Makes skin little oily after few hours; not a great option for super oily skin on summer days
• It can’t cover up all the dark spots
• Less staying power

Yes, definitely. This is a superb option as a daily sunscreen. Also, I am satisfied with its coverage, so I like this product a lot now. If you want a sunscreen with a little coverage, then go for it. It will make your skin super soft with a glowing effect. You should give it a try at least.
