My Mother and My Experience with Lotus Herbals YOUTHRx Active Anti-Ageing Exfoliator:

Packaging: In the terms of packaging Lotus has made every effort to keep it attractive and classy. The color code of YOUTHRX range is golden and purple, which looks very nice. The scrub comes in a golden and purple color plastic tube with a golden colored screw cap, yes this time the cap is a screw one rather than the flip top ones.

I generally prefer the flip caps. The scrub comes out from a wide hole; one has to be very careful while taking the scrub out, as the slightly runny scrub can spill out in large amount easily when the cap is opened. So, it’s better to keep the mouth of the tube in upright position while taking the scrub out. Overall, the packaging looks good, but not really travel friendly.

Texture, Consistency and Smell: The scrub has a gel-crème kind of consistency which is slightly thin, and not thick and creamy. The crème base feels very soft and smooth on skin and with just little amount as it helps to spread the scrub evenly all over the face. The cream consists of brown small and white medium sized scrubbing particles.

And, by excess or fast exfoliation the large scrubbing particles can hurt soft and young skin; I really don’t understand the need of adding such large scrub particles for facial skin. May be the large scrub particles are designed to exfoliate mature skin better. The scrub possesses very beautiful, but synthetic kind of fragrance to it, which feels really calming. I would compare the smell with L’Oreal’s hair coloring creams.

Usage and Results: My mother has been using this scrub for over two weeks now and I have been using this for only a week. I cannot see any drastic anti ageing or repairing effects on her skin, but I can vouch for the instant effects it gives. We follow the usage instructions and scrub twice every week, we scrub for at least 2 minutes light handedly with fingers and then let the product remain on skin for 3-4 minutes and then wash it off with tap water and pat dry.

The results are definitely instant, but aren’t very long lasting when you’re using only this scrub. It surely reveals a bright and glowing complexion after first usage. My mother’s skin texture feels definitely softer and smoother than earlier, it also gives a whitening effect on face. It even lightened dark patches on my neck to a great extent only after the first use. The result was clear skin which was feeling soft and smooth and was visibly brighter and glowing.

And, after using this my skin feels soft and hydrated and I don’t feel the need to apply a moisturizer. I am sure that with long term usage of this product plus other products from the range, I will be able to see some amazing results. I think even 25+ women can use this range. I am sure this scrub won’t let you down.

Yes, I’ll surely recommend this scrub to everyone. I think it’s the best scrub that my mother and I have used so far. It’s definitely gives more bright and glowing skin from first usage. The results are visible and really nice. I think my mom and I are going to this scrub for a long time.
