My Experience with Lotus Makeup Coral Crave Ecostay Long Lasting Lip Colour:
Beginning with packaging of this beautiful lipstick. The lipstick comes in a metallic pinkish cardboard packaging, which bears the details like product description, shade number and name, manufacturing and expiry dates, etc. Inside this outer packaging comes a beautiful rose gold lipstick tube wrapped up in a pretty satiny pink pouch. The packaging is so beautiful and girly as well. It looks so luxurious and feminine. This long and slender lipstick tube has a mirror finish. The lipstick body is not color-coded, so I need to check at its base for the shade name. The tube has a long cap indicating the brand name. The cap fits securely and never comes off while carrying around. The shape of the lipstick bullet is little different. It is round in shape and I prefer applying it using a brush rather than applying directly from the bullet.
The shade “Coral Crave” is a pretty warm-toned orangish-coral shade with a little brownish hue. I have already mentioned in my previous posts that I am an all-time “coral lipstick” lover. This shade goes so well with my skin tone, but it will not flatter dusky skin tones and will surely wash them out. The lipstick has some fine silver shimmer which does not look chunky or over the top. The pigmentation of the lipstick is average. It requires multiple swipes to make the color intense. It hides pigmented lips well. The color is easily buildable, but it will not hide extremely pigmented lips.
The lipstick comes with SPF-20 that makes it fit to be used under the sun. The brand claims that these lipsticks are 100% vegan. The lipstick sets to a velvety matte finish after a while and looks nice on the lips. The texture of the lipstick is nice. It is soft and smooth. It glides smoothly onto the lips. Even with the shimmer in the lipstick, the texture is not gritty. Exfoliation is definitely mandatory before application, as it clings to the dry patches of the lips and highlights them. The color looks even and never gets patchy. The lipstick does not have a heavily transferring formula. The formula of the lipstick is quite moisturizing initially, but my lips become dry after some time of application. I feel that it does not provide any hydration to the lips. Also, my lips start to feel dry after a meal and I need a balm to keep my lips moisturized and nourished. It has no significant smell, so it will not bother those sensitive noses.
The formula is feathery light and feels ultra comfortable on the lips. It does not have any thick or waxy texture. The lipstick does not bleed or smudge at all. The lipstick stays in place without any budging. It lasts on my lips for some 5-6 hours on my lips with drinking. It survives light meals with a little fading from the inner corners of the lips. So, it asks for touch ups after meals. But after a full meal, the color gets ripped off and settles into the fine lines of the lips. The lipstick does not leave any stain behind and the color can be taken off easily even with a wipe, but the shimmers in the lipstick are quite difficult to remove. Overall, I really like the shade but I am not much impressed with its texture.
