My Experience with Lotus Makeup Dawn Beauty Ecostay Long Lasting Lip Colour:

Beginning with packaging of this beautiful lipstick. The lipstick comes in a metallic pinkish cardboard packaging, which bears all the details like product description, shade number and name, manufacturing and expiry dates, etc. The beautiful rose gold lipstick tube comes wrapped up in a pretty satiny pink pouch. I want to give full marks to the packaging of this lipstick. It looks so luxurious and feminine. This long and slender lipstick tube has a mirror finish. The lipstick body is not colour-coded so I need to check at its base for the shade name, but I do not consider it as a flaw because I am already in love the packaging. The cap fits securely and never come off while carrying around. The shape of the lipstick bullet is a bit different than the usual lipsticks and I prefer applying it using a brush rather than directly from the bullet.

The shade “Dawn Beauty” is a stunning rust orange shade. I do not own too many orange lip colors. I prefer peachy coral over bright orange shades. But this shade is nice and wearable. It is not too bold and will suit fair to medium Indian skin tones nicely. Though the lipstick does not have chunky glitters in it, there are some fine micro shimmers in the lipstick, which are not visible much and just add nice luster to the lips. The pigmentation of the lipstick is average. I would not say that it is insanely pigmented or something. It requires 4-5 swipes to make the color intense and conceal pigmented lips well. The color is easily buildable. The lipstick comes with SPF-20 that makes it fit to be used under the sun. The lipstick sets to a velvety matte finish after a while.

The texture of the lipstick is nice. It is soft and creamy, and glides on smoothly onto the lips, but I feel it drags on the lips a bit and that’s why I apply a lip balm underneath. Hence, I would not say that it has a buttery smooth formula. Exfoliation is definitely mandatory before application because it clings to the dry patches of the lips and highlights them. The color looks even and never gets patchy. It does not bleed or smudge at all even after hours of application. It transfers minimally. I find the formula of the lipstick quite moisturizing. It does not dry out the lips and does not settle into the fine lines of the lips, but I feel that it does not provide any hydration to the lips. Also, my lips start to feel dry after a meal and need a balm to keep my lips moisturized. The lipstick is tagged as 100% vegetarian. The lipstick has no significant smell. The formula is feathery light and feels comfortable on the lips. It does not have that waxy texture.

The lipstick lasts on my lips for more than 6 hours with constant sipping. It survives light meals with a little fading from the inner corners of the lips, so I do need touch ups after meals. The lipstick does not leave any stain behind and can be taken off easily even with a wipe. Overall, I really like the shade and quality of this lipstick.
